I exhaled shakily and began twisting the ring on my finger, a habit I had picked up when I was nervous.

Though I would never admit to myself, and definitely not to Edward, I had grown very accustomed to having that ring on my finger, and actually felt empty whenever I would take it off. Like apart of me was missing. And, to be honest, apart of me was.

I glared irritably at the ring and pulled it off, put it back on, pulled it off, put it back on, and repeated this process until the voice I loved more than any sound in the world, chuckled softly, and said, "Let it go, Bella; you have got to get used to it."

I jumped, startled, and turned around, with my eyes closed, knowing my voice wouldn't come out as forceful if I looked at Edward's perfect face and hypnotizing topaz eyes.

"EDWARD! We've talked about this! No sneaking up on me until I can do that to you and remain unnoticed."

I finally opened my eyes to see an amused smirk playing on his lips. "Sorry. I forgot to knock on the open window." His sarcasm was thick and he chuckled at his ability to affect me like this.

I glared at him, not responding to his joke the way he would've liked, clearly seen as his smile faded slowly, "Bella." His voice was serious now as he cautiously approached me, "You okay?"

I shook my head slightly, "I don't know."

"What's wrong?" He circled his arms around my waist, drawing me in closer, and rested his forehead against mine. He looked into my eyes and I could tell, by the intensity of his stare, that he was trying to read my expression, as he could not read my thoughts, so he had to content himself with my expressions. "Hey....Talk to me." He whispered, now grazing my jawbone with his perfect, cool lips.

I succumbed, unable to remember what it was that was bothering me in the first place. I tilted my head back slightly to make it easier for him to continue tracing my jawbone with his lips. Then, he moved his lips to my ear, kissed it, and then whispered, while caressing my cheek with the back of his hand, "What is it?"

I couldn't find my voice; I was so mesmerized by his perfection and utter beauty.

"I don't--" I managed to stammer, as his hand slid down slowly to caress the side of my neck, my shoulder, the length of my waist, down to my hip, which he began massaging as his lips found mine easily.

I moaned as his tongue slid into my parted lips, entwined harmoniously, beautifully, angelically with mine, and his other hand was suddenly on my stomach, which he was caressing with his fingertips. He lifted up my shirt a little to trace circles on my bare stomach.

Though his fingers were colder than ice, the skin of my stomach was suddenly burning as if on fire. Wherever his fingers were, fire was; it was inevitable. My body knew no other reaction. I ran my trembling hands up and down his back, through his shirt, enjoying the way his muscles flexed and contracted against the palms of my hands.

He suddenly readjusted himself so that he had one leg on either side of my waist and he lowered me to the bed.

I could not remember how to breathe; and honestly at this point, I didn't give a damn about oxygen. At least I'd die happy.

He broke away from an amazing kiss to trail his lips down my chin to the bottom of my chin to my neck.

My jaw involuntarily dropped and I gasped in a very shaky breath. I mumbled incoherently and he smirked as he began tracing my collarbone with his lips. He moved the top portion of my T-shirt down a little to kiss my whole collarbone and right beneath it.

He then trailed his lips up to the side of my neck up to my ear again. He caressed my earlobe with the inside of his lower lip before murmuring, breathlessly against my ear, "Bella...my precious Bella...I love you..."

His voice trailed off as his lips made their way over to my other ear and down that side of my neck. He began kissing every inch of my throat as I grunted. To me, it sounded utterly humiliating, but Edward's smile assured me that he approved of it greatly. His lips found their way to mine again and I immediately returned the kiss.

My hands were playing with his hair, my fingers entwining with individual strands of his hair. He pulled me closer to him and I could feel his six-pack flex and contract against my stomach through his shirt. I sighed into his mouth and began trembling with delight as his hand began caressing my thigh, which was somehow around his waist. When did that happen?

My tongue slid eagerly into his mouth as his fingers traced up my waist to the bottom of my bra. I froze; would he go on?

Of course not, I told myself, He won't go any farther. He's too concerned with protecting my stupid virtue. I don't care about it; why should he? I lost all thought as he slowly, hesitantly lifted the bottom of my bra to caress the skin right below my breast with his thumb, making sure not to touch my breast, but enough to send chills surging through my body; fighting the fire, both in a desperate war to win; my mind not caring who won; too busy on the task at hand.

Much too soon, Edward withdrew his hand, pulled away from the most remarkable kiss we have ever shared, and chuckled, shakily, "Mm... All in good time, love."

I moaned, this time in aggravation, "You can't just do that. Be that amazing only to stop! Damn you, Cullen."

"Too late," he joked. I didn't laugh, too delirious as my heart rate began to slow down and worry once again consumed me.

His smile faded. "Seriously, Bella. What's the matter?" He stared at me with concern and love in his topaz eyes that never failed to take my breath away.

I shook my head. "No, it's my problem; I don't want to involve you."

"Bella, if it's your problem, that automatically makes it my problem. Please?" He began tickling my jawbone with his fingertips and his eyes locked on mine. I wanted to look away, but as could be expected, I didn't even have the capability of blinking.

"It's...stupid."

"Humor me," he urged, in a pleading voice. I smiled, knowing how much it irritated him that mine was the only mind he couldn't read, so he had to sit in suspense while I struggled to gather my thoughts.

"Oh, Bella, you're gonna kill me!" He complained, practically growling the words.

"Oh, don't be ridiculous! You're already dead!"

He grimaced at my sarcasm and I smirked, "Fine. But, not here. Charlie's going to be home soon and I don't like him making assumptions."

He nodded and asked, "Our meadow?"

I chuckled once, "Hey, you read my mind."

He rolled his eyes. "That's not funny." He sat up and helped me up. I was still dizzy from our...intercourse, so I staggered immediately, but Edward caught me before I could go too far. "Careful, Bella.” He said, firmly, irritably.

I grimaced. "Thanks."

His lips curved up into his crooked smile, which I practically knew as his trademark, and then he kissed me.

When he pulled away, he caressed the side of my neck with the back of his knuckles. "I love you...Bella Swan."

I smiled in response. "And I love you, Edward Cullen." He pulled me effortlessly onto his back and we jumped out the window.

Out of my peripheral vision, I could've sworn I saw my bedroom door open a crack and Jacob's face peeking in, looking distraught, but I let it go, not wanting to upset Edward. I laid my cheek against his hair and enjoyed as the wind whipped my hair around my face and, in spite of the speed, I had never felt more amazing.
