I had never felt more amazing in my life...running through my exhilaration, my excitement. It was so liberating. It was easy to see the thrill Edward felt in running so fast. I used to be terrified of hitting something or the light-headed dizziness I had felt riding on Edward's back. But, now, I felt nothing but the rush, surging through me, driving me even faster and faster. I had no troubles dodging the trees and rocks and other obstacles as I had feared. It was surprisingly easy to notice them long before colliding with them.

It was strange to be so capable of this after spending my whole life, having the reputation as the most incapable klutz. My whole life I had never been more than average--not that I minded. I liked the whole low profile thing; it gave me my space...my chance to be my own person and not what everyone else wanted...but, now that I was something more, I couldn't imagine not having it.

After twenty minutes of nonstop running, I finally asked, "Edward?" My voice was unaffected by the run, my breathing just as even as it had been when I started.

"Hm?" He asked, turning to look at me.

"Where are we going?"

I got distracted staring at him, losing myslef in his beauty, and almost ran into a tree branch, but he held it up for me, before tackling me to the ground, rolling us down the mountain into the valley, where a meadow similar to ours was.

Wild flowers dotted the grass beautifully and there was a nearby creek, t he waters rushing on into a small pool.

I laughed as Edward pinned me down and purred into my ear, "Wow, being a vampire sure doesn't help with the clumsiness."

I growled softly under my breath and shoved him off, irritably, "Shut up! It's your fault."

"I fail to see how this is my fault." He said, now brushing his lips along my jawbone.

"If you weren't so damn gorgeous, none of this would happen." I said, gesturing up to where we were just a moment ago.

"Ah, I see...I finally understand it." He said, looking off thoughtfully into space.

"Understand what?" I asked.

"I understand why you were a natural-born klutz."

"Ouch. Gee, thanks, that really helped."

"I'm not trying to cheer you up." He said, with a smirk.

"Then, what are you trying to say?" I asked, irritably. Stupid mind games.

"I don't know;" he said, "I'll know when I'm done saying it."

I rolled my eyes and he said, "I understand...because, if my 'beauty'--" he gestured air quotes, "--makes you clumsy then that explains why all those years before me, you were still a klutz. Because your beauty far exceeds mine and with that...I probably would've been clumsy too if I was human."

"You...are such...a suck-up." I accused, with a smile.

"Oh, am I now?" He parted his lips and lowered them to my collar bone, which he sucked on, before growling seductively as he trailed his lips up my throat to my lips.

I deepened the kiss and rolled us over several times. I smiled against his lips and as he trailed his lips down to my neck, I began nibbling playfully on his ear, lauging as seductively as I could manage--which failed terribly.

He tightened his arm around my waist, holding me against him with one arm, while trailing his other hand down the length of my body. He made to kiss me again, his lips hovering a mere half centimeter above mine, both of us raggedly, when he froze and bared his teeth.

"Hm." He chuckled once, looking to me.

I caught it too. The sweet intoxicating scent of blood, which called to us both. I closed my eyes and sniffed in deeply, allowing myself to revel in the lure of its beckon. I didn't know what animal it was yet, as I had not yet grown familiar with the different scents.

When I opened my eyes, Edward was staring at me, smiling his crooked smile. "Up for an intermission?" He asked, sensing my eager anxiety and desires.

With a growl so loud, I literally shook, pushing him off me, I took off towards the scent, my entire being focused on finding it. I was too concerned with the kill right now to notice what animal it was, but once I located it, I lunged for it.

Once I tasted the sweet taste of the blood, I drank even more hungrily, draining it of every ounce of life it had.

When I had finished, I realized it was a black bear that I had killed. I turned around to see Edward had already killed three bears, an elk, and two mountain lions.

Right now, he was wrestling with the third mountain lion, which growled angrily at him. The creature thrashed and convulsed in desperate paroxysms, struggling to escape.

I was engulfed by the scent of its blood and I wanted so desperately to have it, the fire in my throat surging through my entire being, pleading with me to drink more.

But, I fought it...I simply watched Edward hunt, enjoying how graceful and skilled his moves were. How the hell do you make hunting graceful? While I was soaked in the blood from mine, he was clean--not a single escaped drop.

Edward grabbed the mountain lion in a chokehold so to speak and threw all of his weight on him, causing him to collapse before snapping his neck.

The creature yelped weakly in pain and fell limp as Edward sank his teeth in, clutching the creature in his arms so tightly as he drank that he literally broke every bone in its body.

I could hear Edward moan and sigh in delight as he drank. It was the most beautiful sound in the world...and I lost the ability to move or even think.

It was a matter of seconds before he pulled away and made to lunge for another elk, but caught sight of me and froze. "What's wrong?" He asked, approaching me.

I shook my head, "Nothing. You're cute when you hunt."

He furrowed his eyebrows and said, "Okay," with a laugh, "and you're messy." He noticed a drop of blood on my lower lip that I had been to occupied to notice and sucked it off, before kissing me.

He pulled away and said, "Mm...you got a good one."

"You did too, I see." I said, nodding to all the animals he had killed in such a short time.

He shrugged, "You'll catch on. Pretty soon, it'll come just as naturally to you as you come to me."

"Oh, nice analogy." I said, laughing.

He shrugged, "It's a gift. Here, you want me to help you out?" He offered.

"Yeah...stop hunting for a bit."

"What; why?"

"Because it is turning me on beyond belief!" I admitted, "You're so freakin' hot...especially when you're hunting...and the blood..." I trailed my blood-covered index finger down the column of his throat, leaving a trail of blood, which slid down his skin, disappearing into his shirt.

I raised an eyebrow and lowered his shirt, touching the tip of my tongue to his skin, licking the trail of blood off, taking my time in doing so. I made to kiss him when he pulled away slightly, pushed me back, and said, "Bella, Bella. Hunting?"

"Unbelievable!" I said, before smacking his arm, "Damn your sinister attraction!"

"Ow!" He laughed, "Sinister?"

"Attraction." I confirmed. "Damn. It. Damn you and you're freakin'--argh! Screw it!" I ran off, leaving him laughing at me, and once again consumed myself in the hunt.

It took longer than usual to get into it, due to my distraction, but eventually, I found myself drinking animal after animal after animal until I could hold down no more. My body was screaming with delight and satisfaction.

The last animal I had was a fawn, before Edward's voice said, impatiently, from behind me, "Come on, Bella; you've got to be done now. Can I please come out now?"

I chuckled, "Yeah, go ahead. I'm done."

He came out and saw me, drenched in blood from all the fights those animals put up. I had blood on my skin and my shirt was soaked in blood. My jeans, my shoes--my hair had blood matted onto it--but, I didn't have it in me to finish it off. I was too full to have even the smallest drop.

Edward shook his head and laughed, "Same old Bella. My God, you are...ridiculous. How the hell did you--did any of it get in your mouth?"

"Yes!" I said, irritably, "All right, so I'm an amateur, leave me alone." He tried to stifle his laughter, but failed. "Shut up!"

"I didn't say anything."

I rolled my eyes bitterly and looked down at the fawn, feeling slightly guilty. "Aw..." I pouted. "I killed a baby. He was so young."

Edward approached me and shrugged, "You grow used to it...after awhile, it doesn't bother you so much. Besides..." he hugged me from behind, kissed my right shoulder, and then rested his chin on my left shoulder, swaying me playfully from side to side, "...the young ones...always taste the sweetest," he whispered, into my ear, causing me to feel shivers all up and down my spine.

My whole being was trembling with delight at his words. He smiled at my reaction and trailed his lips up and down the side of my neck.

"Hm..." he smiled, "This works out nicely."

"What do you mean?"

He spun me around and pulled me into him, placing his hand passionately on the small of my back. His other hand trailed down my jawbone to the top of my shirt. He traced my the line of my shirt all the way down where it dipped down in between my breasts and back up, teasing me.

"I get the 2-for-1 special. I get Bella in blood."

He ripped my shirt off and threw me to the ground passionately, wringing the blood out of my shirt onto my skin.

I began trembling out of ecstasy, knowing what to expect, as he then removed my bra and sucked off all the blood, taking his time in doing so, tightening his hold on me so tightly that had I been human, every bone in my body would've been crushed.

His fingers trace shapes in the blood, caressing my skin, and he brought his blood-covered hand up to touch my lips and caress my face. The smell of the blood was so beautiful...my eyes fluttered open and shut as I turned my head to follow his hand, following the blood.

I sighed his name in ecstasy as he continued to suck the blood off my skin, licking it off and frenching my skin as he did so, exploring my skin with his lips, his teeth, his tongue.

I dug my knees into his hips as he caught my nipple between his teeth, bit it playfully, and then skimmed the bridge of his nose up the skin in between my breasts, sniffinng in deeply, causing me to giggle.

He slid up against me in between my legs, taking his time in doing so, intensifying his body weight against me, pressing further and further against me.

It was times like this that I really hated my inability to cry. My eyes burned, stinging as if I would cry, but the tears never came. Damn it...I lunged forward, knocking Edward into a tree, causing it to collapse, and then pushed him down into the damaged remains of it.

He inhaled sharply as if in pain, but he was smirking at me as I straddled him and ripped his t-shirt to shreds. Then, I undid his pants with my teeth and slowly removed them.

I went on to explore every inch of his skin with my lips, memorizing the feel and taste and smell of it.

After a few minutes, he growled irritably and rolled us over so he was now on top of me. I shifted my weight underneath him and reached up to caress his face.

We struggled to remove the rest of our clothes, concentration quite an impossible task for us right now. By that point, splinters of wood had gotten tangled in my hair and we were practically buried in a blanket of leaves from the trees that we threatened to knock down.

We had sex for 76 hours, nonstop, and at one point, Edward had reached out to support himself on a tree branch, but he underestimated his strength and the branch not only broke off, but turned to saw dust, covering us both, and when he made to stop the rest of the tree from collapsing, he accidentally pushed it a little too hard, and it collapsed on top of us.

Despite the present conditions, we continued to have sex for yet another 54 hours, amidst the mess we created, barely noticing it with how distracted we were. A welcome distraction--a beautiful distraction, I must say.

I would have gone longer had Edward not stopped me--son of a bitch--saying that "it was probably bad for the baby". God, I hated it when he was right, which he was only 99.9999% of the time. I would like to take him and his stupid perfect self control and just...GAH! I couldn't even finish the thought, damn it. What the hell was he doing to me?

Besides giving me the most perfect life imaginable? That didn't count--not right now--not when I was pissed. Maybe he'd regain points later.

"I love you," he whispered, kissing my hair, hugging me close.

Damn...later jsut kept coming sooner and sooner these days. Guess it was later.
