Italy-1354

A tall shadowed figure turned down a dark ally. His black cloak seemed to make him disappear into the night. He glided down the passageway. No sound was made in the slumbering city. Not even the cloaked figure was heard. A single flickering light penetrated the night through a window. The figure paused and peaked into the window. A delicate white hand appeared, seemingly from thin air. The door creaked as the figure opened the old wood door. Rats scurried everywhere, frightened by the noise. The figure disappeared through the door, its graceful shadow following behind.

"I've been expecting you." A smooth voice whispered out of the dark. She walked without sound into the light from the dancing candle. Her pail skin and long black hair illuminated in the light and her red eyes burned like embers. "Sit." She commanded as she gestured to the seat in front of her. The shadowed figure did not move. "Or don't," she mumbled then spoke a little louder, but never above a whisper. "How may I be of service to you, master?"

"I am here to hear the prophecy for myself."

"Ahhhhhh," She tisked. "My master demands to know the future. Not always the smartest idea. Knowing the future is a heavy burden to bear."

"My dear, Beara! You deny me of my command." The figure stepped toward her.

"No, I'm simply warning you that you may not like what Fate has in store." She said cleverly. "I will tell you though. But first I would like to look at you once more."

The figure sat gracefully in the chair across from Beara. His frail ivory hands reached up and lowered his black hood. Stunningly black hair fell past his solders and his ruby eyes mirrored Beara's. "What do you mean once more?"

"My dearest Aro," She sighed. "After I say the prophecy you will never trust me again." He said nothing but just stared at her, waiting. "Beara, why should we be worried about that that’s about 700 years from now." Aro stood abruptly and yet gracefully. "I don't believe a thing your saying. The future is never set in stone." With that he angrily glided out of the shop.

"Fate is already set in motion. The sisters destinies are already chosen." Beara whispered as she got up. "And so shall it be…" The candles flame died in the gust of air as she ran from her shop, knowing what Fate had planned.
