Falling


Hesitation

Edging closer and closer,

slowly,

then taking a step back.

Two steps forward,

one step back.


Preparation


I suck in a deep breath,

praying that this will work.

I have nothing to live for,

once he was gone,

nothing was left for me.

I had three glorious days,

then it was over.

Now I was ready.


Determination


One more step,

then I am at the edge.

I take it,

and not taking time to pause,

jump.

Surprisingly there is no fear,

exhilaration is all I feel.


I was falling,

then I was dying...
