Chapter 1 “Anticipation”

“Bella really you look PERFECT! Stop messing with everything.” I turned to look at my soon to be sister-in-law, Rosalie Hale. I wasn’t use to Rose being this nice to be but I guess Edward must have told her to be nice on our wedding day.

I took one last look at myself in the reflection and took a very deep breath, took my flowers from Alice and headed towards the door.

“Bella wait…Rose and I have something we want to give you before the ceremony starts.” Alice held out a tiny white box with a picture of a single red rose on the top and along with it a snow white envelope with my name written in cursive on it. “Read the chard first please.”

Dear Bella,

Wow, we can’t believe this is happening. For as long as we can remember Edward has been the loner in our great family. We are so glad that after today we can finally call you our sister. You really are the little sister we’ve always wanted. We hope that you and Edward are just as happy as both of us are with Jasper and Emmet. We love you Bella Swan…soon to be Isabella Marie Cullen.

Best wishes, Alice and Rosalie

I read the card once more before I put it down and looked at both of them, almost in tears from how beautiful that was. “Oh you two know just what to do to make a girl cry on her wedding day even before she sees her soon-to-be husband.”

“Don’t cry just yet Bella you still haven’t seen what’s in the box.” Alice said as I hugged her. I sat down on a chair that was sitting next to me and put the little white box on my lap.

“Alice please tell me that it’s not something stupid like a free movie pass or something” I said jokingly. I lifted the top off the box and my eyes widened. Inside the box were two things of similar nature. One was diamond crested dove. The wings of the dove with spread out in full and as the light reflected off the diamonds it reminded me of when a vampire steps out into the light, the light reflects off there skin and sends millions of little rainbows everywhere.

“That one is from me, I know that I’ve been, well the best way I can describe it is well, a bitch, I want that to be over. The war is over Bella and even though it may take some time for me to get over the fact that you are basically throwing your life away to become one of us. I call a truce. The dove represents peace and I really hope you like it.” I ran over to Rosalie and gave her the first hug I’ve ever given her. It was a little awkward at first but after a few seconds I could feel her relaxing and hugging me back.

“Oh Rose it’s beautiful, you have no idea how much this means to me. Thank you so much for letting me into your life. I promise you I will never disappoint you…sister.” A big smile spread across her face and I could tell that she really was happy that I as going to be her sister in a matter of minutes. I sat back down and looked in the box again. The other charm was a half sun and half moon. It too was crested with diamonds. I looked up at Alice and if she could cry, she would have been balling her eyes out. "These gifts are wonderful. Thank you both. I love both of you and can't wait to be Mrs. Isabella Cullen.” We got up and left the tiny dressing room.

On the other side of the church, waiting there was my father Charlie and mother Renee. I could see the happiness on there faces as they both got there first glimpse of there baby girl all grown up. At that point there was nothing holding the tears back from my made up eyes.
