My new life

Bella (now Amber) meets Edward again, but has had time to turn sadness into anger. Now Edward must try to get his love back, but it won't be easy. Readers- I’m moving accounts. This was a shared account with someone who doesn’t really like me anymore. So I’ll post this to all the stories I wrote (I’ll only continue some) then you can read them. Continuing: Complications, Goneandnevercomingback., Marionette, mynewLife, and SpilledMascara. If what you read wasn’t listed and you want it continued, tell me through the “contactauthors” button on the “elainamorrigan” account why I should continue. -elle/Twizzler

I couldnt help but think about what would happen if she didnt jump, Edward didn't come back, and she met Victoria.

“You…don’t…want me?”

They hurt. Those words would always rip me open, no matter what I promised myself.

At about the seventh month after Edward left me I was sick of Jacob. I realized he was taking advantage of my weakness and after he tried to kiss me a second time against my will, I didn’t want anything to do with him. It wasn’t that bad for him though, he imprinted shortly after, on Angela. I felt bad for Ben though.

Soon after I found out that running combined with heavy metal helps me not think. I got more coordinated so I would run through the forest trail with my ipod. I didn’t have to worry about Laurent, and I didn’t care if I met Victoria.

In fact, that’s exactly what I did. I was running through the trail one day and she ran up to me, then stopped short. She took one look and seemed to know. She got over her rage, she was catatonic too.

I explained to her what happened and she unexpectedly ran up to me and hugged me. I realized I was sobbing. She leaned over and bit me, which was expected.

I started to scream as the fire spread, and shoved my head into her shoulder to try and quiet myself.

“We have to stick together.” She said brokenly.

“Victoria, you are such a brat!” Samantha yelled.

“No Sammy, you’re the brat! You’re the one who crashed the Bentley!” Victoria screeched.

“You didn’t have to tell Amber!” Sammy whined, then turned to me, “You see what happened was-”

I was steaming. She crashed my car, I loved that car. My totally awesome Bentley, she crashed it. Finally, I snapped out if it. “Sammy go! I don’t want to hear your shallow sob story!”

She glared at me but stomped up the stairs to her room, muttering something about me not being to boss of her. Ah, fifteen year olds. But I actually was the boss of her, seeing as how I was the coven leader and all.

And to add to my anger, we had no choice but to move back to Forks. I managed to avoid that rainy little town full of nightmarish memories for seventy years but in the only other available spaces people were getting suspicious. I had to do what was best for the family. The family of five I had to take care of and protect.

Nick and Richard came through the door, bickering with each other over who really won their wrestling match. Like it mattered!

Nick stopped and turned to me, “Where’s-”

“In her room.” I said, rolling my eyes.

“What did she do?” he asked, he’s used to his girlfriend getting in trouble, especially since she ran off two years ago.

“Ask her.” I said sharply, “I don’t want to be wrongly accused of lying.”

“I understand but you should give her a break.” He said.

“I just don’t think it’s right. She can tell when a person lies as her ability but then lies herself and wrongly accuses them!” I said.

“I know,” he sighed, then walked to her room.

“It’s just so hypocritical.” I muttered.

“The horse is dead, Amber! The horse is dead!” Nick called.

“Shut up!” I yelled back.

I probably was immune to Samantha like I was to Jane from the Volturi-I met her when Victoria and I had to go save Richard-It didn’t matter. I usually got along great with Sammy, but she crashed my car!

“Are you okay Amber? Will you be okay tomorrow?” Victoria asked, walking up to me. She’d gotten used to calling me Amber. She was the only one who knew I was Bella and respected that I wanted it a secret. After I was changed (and got blue contacts to not freak people out with the red eyes) I dyed my hair jet black and cut it to just two inches under my ears. Victoria said I didn’t smell quite like Bella anymore either. Whaich was good, I went through a lot to make sure I’m not Bella anymore.

“Yeah. Will you be okay tomorrow?” I said.

“I think so.” Victoria lived as a human eater so long, it was harder for her to change to our new diet, “But if I start to look a little…” She took a deep breath, “Help me please.”

“Don’t worry. I’ve been very proud of you. You are a much better vegetarian than you give yourself credit for.” I said.

She snorted, “Easy for you to say! Your throat doesn’t burn when you smell a human. You’re lucky you were repulsed by blood.”

“I don’t choose my ability.” I laughed.

“Whatever!” She was laughing too, “Just make sure your hand is ready to make contact so you can make me strong like you.”

“Yeah, okay.” I said, but I wanted to cheer her up, “But see, I have limitations! I need physical contact.”

“Correction, you don’t need physical contact, everyone else does!” she smiled. Not much got to Victoria.

Richard came over and put his arm around her waist. I’m glad she got over James. I wish I could do the same for my ex. I think she loves Richard more than she loved James. This is good she deserves better than that horrid James.

“We have to go.” He said.

“Oh yeah, we’re doing some last-minute hunting to prepare for tomorrow. Is that okay?” she asked.

“Yeah that’s fine.” I said.

They raced out the door. Ugh! Tomorrow I start school at Forks High School. I pray I don’t break down everything I’ve worked for.

No, I must be confident. Fort Amber can handle it. It’s much better than Fort Bella!

Either way I could tell tomorrow would be a nightmare.
