4. We have to go to school

Rating 4/5   Word Count 813   Review this Chapter

I was awaken out of my deep sleep by a beautiful sound. Way better than my alarm clock.

“Get up Bella. Get up.”

“Ugh. No.”

“Yes, Bella.”

“Because we have to go to school in half an hour.”

“Ugh.” I got out of bed and unhappily took myself over to my dresser to get some clothes. Then Alice’s words hit me. “We?”

“Yes, we. I enrolled myself back into Forks High School two days ago.”

“Why?” I was shocked to be hearing this news.

“I have to get an education, too, you know.”

“Yeah, but, here?”

“Yes, here. I’m going to be here for quite a while.”

“Wow. Really? You’re staying for a long time?” I couldn’t keep the excitement out of my voice.

“Uh huh.”

“Yay!” I ran over and hugged her.

“Now that we have that settled, go get ready!”

I took my toiletry bag and clothes and rushed out of my room to go get ready. I was so happy. I was actually looking forward to going to school again now that I knew she was going to be there with me.

“Slow down!” I practically screamed. I wasn’t used to the speed the Cullens drove at since they’d been away for so long. We argued over whose car we were taking to school for about five minutes this morning. Of course she won.

“Calm down Bella,” She told me, but I saw the meter go down to ninety miles an hour. “Are you happy now?”

“Yes actually.”

We were there in no time thanks to her maniac driving. When she stepped, out eyes were immediately on us.

I heard an annoyed but expecting type noise come from Alice. “Come with me to get my schedule?”

“Of course.” I didn’t want to spend a minute away from her even though I knew I couldn’t get so lucky to have her in each of my classes. I might not even have her in any of my classes. I tried to get that thought out of my head the moment I thought it. I really did not want to dread on stuff that might not even be real. I also knew that I shouldn’t have to much hope either, so I just stopped thinking about it. We walked into the office and Ms Cope looked up and immediately had a shocked look on her face to see Alice even though she already knew she was coming. It must have been form looking at her again after so long.

“He- he- hello Alice. So ni-nice to see you again.”

“You too,” Alice answered. “I’m here for my schedule.”

“Oh, ye-yes. That. Uumm…” she ruffled around in her desk for the schedule. “Here it is. Now bri- bring it back at the end of the da- day signed by all-”

“I know. Thanks.”

We hurried out of there.

“That is so annoying,” Alice whispered to me when we were heading towards the classes. “Now, let’s see what classes I have.” We both looked at her schedule.

“Yes! You have four classes with me!” This made us both smile.

“Cool. Which ones?” she asked

“First, third, fourth, and sixth,” I told her.

“Cool. Let’s go.”

We headed towards our first class. I’m glad no one sat next to me then because I didn’t want to go through kicking someone out of their seat so early in the day. I knew I would have to do it later, though. Oh well. Alice was so worth it.

I wasn’t really listening to the lesson. I was too busy thinking about who was sitting next to me. I kept having the urge to ask someone to pinch me so I could make sure that I wasn’t dreaming. I resisted that urge though. O my god! Alice is back! Yay! I still cannot believe this. Eeehh! My thoughts were interrupted by the teacher calling on me.

“The answer please.”

Oh man. The answer? I had no idea what we were talking about, so how in the world was I supposed to know the answer? Thank god Alice was there because she absolutely saved me by whispering the answer into my ear. I told it to the teacher then gave Alice a grateful look.

“No problem.”

I tried to listen from then on, but the class was just too boring. I was soon back to day dreaming.

The rest of the morning went on like that. Me just day dreaming about Alice being back. It was so awesome. I still couldn’t believe it. After fourth period we headed towards the cafeteria.

We both got in line and bought ourselves some food even though I was in a way too ecstatic mood to eat, and she was definitely not going to eat. I told her I wasn’t hungry, but she insisted that I get something, and I didn’t feel like arguing. We went over to the table that we used to always sit at and sat down. When I looked up again I couldn’t believe what my eyes had landed on. “No way!”
