Erg. I hated blackness. I remembered when I fainted as a human I didn't see anything but now was worse.

I could hear EVERYthing that was going on. Ugh.

"Bella!" Edward had the best voice in the world. I tried to respond...but I was sort of unconcious so that didn't work out to well.

From the random movement around me, I concluded my body was being lifted onto the living room couch. Yep. I felt the pillows.

Carlisle's voice echoed in the large cavern of a room. "I've just never heard or seen a vampire faint before without being injured in some way. It's almost unnatural for us."

"But then again," Emmett cheerfully said," When has Bella ever been normal?"

I wanted to tell them to get back to Jake. Jasper and Alice must have stayed in the dining room; one to hold, one to calm.

Edward grasped my hand and i wanted to see his beautifully sculpted face so bad. I tried to picture it in my mind but knew it was a horrible replica.

"Bella c'mon. What are you doing- vampires don't faint. Jake's going to be fine."

I jolted back into reality and abruptly sat up.

"Woah don't fly off the couch there." Emmett was across the room playing with one of those things that hits the five metal balls back and forth. I'd have to remember to ask Carlisle what it was called.

"Jake." It was a whisper as I flew back into the dining room.

Jacob was just where I'd left him. In pain. Alice had her body over him and had her eyes closed.

My hand felt its way into his and the heat was radiating into my pale skin. It burned, but i would hold it.

Edward scared me by taking my waist.

"I'm hearing his thoughts," he spoke softly into my ear, "He knows I'm doing it and wants to tell you he'll be okay. He hates the pain. But he wants you to know he won't hold it against you, whatever happens."

"But what will happen Edward? I mean, he's already a werewolf. How could he become something totally different?"

"None of us know what the future holds right now, not even Alice. She's tried but his dog-ness won't let her."

"What about Billy? Does he know whats happened?!" I started panicking.

"Esme tried but he is in Connecticut with Jacob's sisters. We think it might be best not to bother him on vacation if we don't even know what Jacob is in for."

"Oh Edward! Jacob hates vampires. He'll never forgive me." I buried my face in his solid chest while my hand still burned inside Jake's.

"He can hear you right now and says he does forgive you. My love, don't feel bad. You may have just created a new creature so far unknown to our world."

"Jake I'm so sorry! I love you so much and if I new it was you I wouldn't have attacked at all. I was just so thirsty and it overwhelmed me."

"He says you're probably still thirsty," Well, he was right about that. The luxurious smell seemed stuck in my nose for eternity.

"And I, my darling, believe that you should take a break and go hunt. You deserve it." He lifted my face into my hands and kissed me.

'I don't want to leave him."

"Jacob says its fine with him, he feels more pain coming and can't hold it in any longer. So I think you should skip out on this part."

Edward slipped my hand out of Jake's.

"Fine." I walked out the door and ran into the safety of the pines.

My hunt was short. Some hawks, my favorite to catch, a few bucks, and a large fox.

Before I even came up to the house I could hear him screaming.
