Another Day, Another Destinity

Bella Is ready. Ready to marry Edward, and ready to become as beautiful and immortal as he is. However, with the releasing of a propchey, and the arrival of a new coven, Bella and Edward must face new dangers, and they begin to realize that everyone has trials to face. Excert from later chapter:Edward grinned. “Looks like we have to save the world again.”“Not the world,” Alice corrected.“Just Forks,” I said.

Before you ask, I kind of deleted this while I was posting chapter five, so I'm just going to repost everything (Thank goodness I saved all the chapters). If I happen to find this the next day, safe and sound, I'll just delete thisversion, and let everyone else read the last version.

Chapter 2: Theories

I was clinging to Edward during the trip to his house. When we arrived, I jumped out of the Guardian and into his waiting arms.

“I’m not letting you out of my sight.” I whispered into his chest.

I felt his hands in my hair. “I’m not letting you out of mine, either,” he said. “Losing you would be the very worst thing that could happen to me.”

A moment later we walked into the house, and Alice had disappeared.

“I think she went to go and find Jasper.” Edward said. “Everyone else is watching a movie, it seems. Carlisle is at the hospital, someone was in a car accident.” Edward looked at me again. “Are you sure you’re okay?” he asked me.

I nodded. “I’d be fine even if Emmett came in, looking for a wrestling match against you.”

Edward smiled my favorite crooked smile. “What if he beat me?”

I slid my arms around his waist. “I’d wait until I was a vampire and extract some revenge.”

Edward laughed. “Just be careful you don’t snap him in two or something. Rose wouldn’t be happy with you.”

At that moment, Emmett came in, laughing. “Good luck, Bella,” he said, “I’m pretty strong, however I will have to give you credit, seeing as you’ll be a newborn.”

Edward laughed. “She’d punch you now, Emmett, but she just got out of her hand brace, so excuse her unwillingness to hit you.”

“Okay people, settle down.” Alice called from upstairs. “Jasper told me to tell you that if it doesn’t settle down, someone is sleeping outside.”

“If we could sleep!” Emmett called.

Edward’s phone vibrated, and he picked it up. “Emmett, it’s for you.”

I noticed Edward was hiding a smile.

Emmett opened the phone, and a second later someone was screaming abuse at Emmett

“I’m starting to envy those wizard in that one book,” Edward said. “With the flick of a wrist, and an incantation, the phone could’ve been hitting him over the head.”

“Then you’re phone would be scrap metal on the floor.” Emmett said, closing Edward’s phone. “Alice can really scream when she wants to. She was yelling something about another coven here, and how they almost-oh.” Comprehension dawned on Emmett’s face.

“That’s why we’re here, Emmett.” Alice called as she descended the stairs, Jasper behind her. “Some strange vampire attacked Bella this morning. If it hadn’t been for Edward…”

“That is a scenario I don’t want to think about.” Edward muttered, and his arms wrapped me closer to his body.

“When’s Carlisle coming back?” Emmett asked.

“Five minutes,” Alice said. “Maybe less. He was pushing almost fifty miles when he left Forks.”

“We’ll wait in the kitchen.” Jasper replied.

“So, this other vampire was waiting for Bella in the tree. Edward came in, and scared him off.” Carlisle ran his fingers through his hair as he said this, his gaze focused on the window.

Edward nodded. “I had to fight him, but he got the message.”

“Maybe he was curious.” Esme said, a hand on my shoulder.

Jasper shook his head. “That’s what we thought the last time, and we had to fight an entire army of newborns. I don’t want to repeat that experience again.”

Edward nodded. “Jasper’s right. No one here wants to go through that again. The wolves might not want to help again either, now that Jacob’s gone.

My body froze. Jake. My best friend, and as of recently, the other person I loved. I had made my choice after that battle, but Jake had paid the price. Seth had said he was somewhere in Canada, but that seemed so long ago; he could be anywhere by now.

“We should warn the wolves about this.” Carlisle said quickly. “They’ll want to know if there’s another coven of vampires."

"That’s what worries me.” Edward said, and he looked at me. There was something in his eyes, and I knew what it was. He wanted to protect me, and he would do it the best way he could.

Carlisle dialed Sam Uley’s number, and brought the phone to his ear. “Hello, Sam? Yes, this is Carlisle. I just wanted you to know that there was a sighting of another vampire in our area, and maybe a whole coven nearby.”

There was a pause. “Yes, he attacked Bella. She’s fine, though; Edward was there, and the other one took off.”

Another pause. “That’s what worries me; Edward will have to hunt sometime, and Bella can’t go with him. We could keep her at our house, but we don’t know how strong he is. It’s the same at La Push; she could go, but things may get out of hand. It looks like this vampire doesn’t care about the treaty.”

Another pause. “You think he’s heard of it? It’s almost impossible; the Volturi are more secretive about that prophecy than they are about their own existence. The only reason we know of it is because Aro told me about it. However, he didn’t tell me the contents. I could look into it, though. I’ll talk to you about it later. Thank you.”

Carlisle hung up the phone, and turned to the rest of the room. I noticed he looked tired.

“It looks like we’re going to Italy.”
