Bella's POV

I walked toward the third building, clasping my class schedule to my chest. I was nervous to be back here, and hoped to god that no one reconized me. All my old friends were now either grandparents, or dead. Which i really hope it's the first one.

A group of kids were standing by the entrance talking loudly. They all turned when i approached the door. The two boys in the group looked up to see what everyone was looking at, and frooze when they saw me. The blonde haired guy elbowed the one with the black hair. They both stared after me as i entered the building.

Rolling my eyes at their boyish behavior i continued to my class room. They were all mostly the same classes i had had when i had gone here when i was seventeen. I glanced aroung me to see if Chris had arrived yet. He had to go check on Wyatt-his brother.

We both had Trig and Biology together, and lunch but that was about it. My gym class was right after lunch, which was good cause i wanted to burn off some calories.

"Hey." Chris said appearing next to me. I watched the kids behind him giving him glares, just as the girls watching me were doing.

"Where have you been?" i asked looking ahead. We passed a group of cheerleaders and they all followed him with interest. I know that Chris and i were dating, but for some reason i really didn't care all that much about girls starring at him. I was used to it.

"Wyatt's being a pain." He said as we entered our classroom. "He decided to go after a harpie, and got himself hurt. Had to heal him before mom found out." I nodded resisting the erge to smile. Wyatt was the cowardless brother, the one who did before he thought. Unlike Chris who thought everything through.

We sat down in the two seats in the back, far away from the view of our class mates and the teacher.

"What do you have next?" He whispered loud enough for only me to hear. I looked down at the schedule in my hands.

"Calculus." i said then looked over at his. "What do you have?" He shrugged.

"Chemistry." The Trig teacher, Mr.Dovoney entered the room and walked briskily over to his desk. He scanned the room and stopped at Chris and i. He raised a brow and looked at us curiously. The entire class turned to see what had caught the teacher's attention.

"Who are you?" he asked in a deep voice. The man was about six feet and had dark hispanic looking skin. I didn't speak so Chris answered for me.

"Isabella Swan and Christopher Haliwell." he said. Mr. Dovoney looked at his attendance list then nodded as if he now remembered.

"Oh, right right. Your uh, the chief's grandaughter right?" he asked. My face fell suddenly. Not because he had called me Charlie's grandaughter, i was used to that. No. It was that he had made me remember him. after i had been trying to keep it together by pushing all those sad thoughts away, but now thay all caming rushing back. I felt my eyes tear up.

"Are you alright?" Chris asked as as tear escaped and ran down my cheek. i nodded and whipped it away.

"Yeah." i said quickly. "I'm fine."
