Bella kissed Edward quickly, before going back into the house. She bid her father good-night, and then went up to her bedroom. She wasn’t expecting Edward to come for a few hours yet, not until her father had gone to bed. But she still opened her window. She was tired, anyway, and went over to her bed, and collapsed, slowly falling asleep. Edward would wake her up once he arrived.
Except, she was awoken only half an hour later, and not by Edward. She looked up at the woman who had woken up, took in her pale skin, her glorious, beautiful features, her golden eyes. She frowned. This was not one of the Cullens.
“Bella. I’ve so been looking forward to meeting you. I’m Irina,” she whispered as she picked Bella up and left through the open window and ran, ran into a house, and lay Bella down on a bed.
“Now, this is going to be very painful for you,” Irina said, coming closer to Bella. She took Bella’s arm, noticing the scar that was already there, and made another mark. Bella screamed in pain.
Edward climbed through Bella’s window, and over to her bed. Bella wasn’t there, and there was something off. It wasn’t just Bella’s scent in the room. He widened his eyes, recognising the scent, and quickly left. He ran to his house, and opened the door, calling for his family. Alice was already there, biting her lip.
“I’m sorry I didn’t see it before, Edward! She knows me! She knows how my power works!” Alice cried. Edward shook his head.
“I know, Alice. We need to let the others know. And we need to inform Charlie, somehow,” Edward said. The rest of the family appeared, and they all sat down in the lounge.
“Bella has been kidnapped. By Irina,” Edward told them. Esme gasped. Emmett and Jasper looked at Edward wide-eyed, and Rosalie stiffened. Alice looked down, disappointed with herself. Jasper tried to relax them, but he couldn’t do it when he was the opposite. He walked over to Alice and sat next to her.
“It’s not your fault,” Jasper whispered, kissing her cheek softly. Alice smiled slightly at him.
“Tomorrow, first thing, I’ll go to Bella’s saying, she forgot something. I’ll go get it now. Charlie will go get her and find Bella gone. Then the werewolves will find out, and hopefully help us. They care about Bella as much as we do,” Edward proposed.
“Good idea, Edward,” Carlisle said, “We will working on trying to find Irina’s scent. Do you know what her plan is?” Edward and Alice both shook their heads. Carlisle sighed, looked around at Emmett.
“Emmett. Please go looking for the scent. Jasper, can you go with him? Rosalie, help Alice please?” Carlisle commanded. Rosalie nodded, took Alice’s arm, and they walked off up the stairs. Jasper and Emmet quickly left, and Edward left as well.
He reached Bella’s house, and climbed through the window. He spotter the cell phone he had bought for her and made her keep, and took it. He then went back home, and watched the clock, counting each second, worried about Bella.
Seth ran to Sam’s house, hoping Sam would be there. He knocked on the door, and it was opened by Sam. He frowned when he saw Seth there.
“Did you hear?” Seth asked, staring at Sam. Sam frowned even more.
“Hear what? Couldn’t you have transformed and told the others?” he asked. Seth shook his head. Sam gestured for him to come in. They sat down on the couch.
“I couldn’t, because then Jacob would’ve heard, and I don’t know if he should know,” Seth said. Sam looked at Sam, and nodded. Something was wrong with Bella. That much was obvious.
“Billy told my mother that Charlie called this morning, saying that when Edward came that morning to drop Bella’s cell phone off, Charlie went to get Bella, and she wasn’t in her bed. She’s disappeared,” Seth said. Sam dropped his mouth open.
“Surely they wouldn’t…?” He trailed off. Seth shook his head.
“They don’t have her. Why would they, when the wedding is only in a couple of weeks?” Seth asked. Sam nodded, and then ran outside to transform. It was Sam’s decision to tell Jacob.‘Jacob,’ Sam thought, ‘I know you can hear me, and you will want to hear this. Bella’s disappeared. We don’t think it’s the Cullens that have taken her. Why would they, after all.’
‘Bella. Not Bella.’ was what Sam heard before he transformed back.
He got back to the house, and starting calling the rest of the pack. They had to know, as well.
After awhile, the whole pack was in Sam’s living room. He told them what had happened, and they all agreed that they had to find Bella, for Jacob’s sake. All of them went different directions, hoping to catch a scent. Hoping that all hope wasn’t lost.
