Chapter 5 -Bella's Point of View-

After our time at the Cullens' house, Elaine and I went back to the police station. We walked up to Charlie's office and found him and Officer Ross laughing and talking.

We already decided to see if I could spend the night at Elaine's, so we can go talk to the Cullen's later. When we walked in Elaine went and gave Officer Ross a hug. "So what did you two do today?" he smiled at us. Elaine answered,

"We went to the mall and then we played baseball with some of Bella's friends, the Cullens." Charlie's eyes narrowed at that.

"Oh, Dad, will it be okay if Bella spends the night?" she said.

"If Charlie doesn't mind." Officer Ross replied. "I guess that's fine." Charlie said, eyes still narrowed.

"Thank you Chief Swan!!!" Elaine said giving him a little hug, quickly, so he wouldn't be able to tell how cold she was.

"Alright, can I take Bella to her house to get her stuff?" Elaine asked them. It was then I noticed how quiet I was being.

Charlie nodded and Officer Ross smiled and said "Go on ahead; I'll be there in a little while."

We left the room and got in her car. It was a little quiet, but then I noticed how fast she was going.

"Whoa! You're going like a hundred miles an hour." I said to her. She looked at me, -still driving insanely fast- and tilted her head to the side.

"Oh." She said. "I'm sorry, I'll speed up a bit." And the car zipped faster, the needle inching toward one hundred and thirty. I grabbed the handle above the window out of breath.

"Edward clone…" I muttered, she just giggled and turned back to the road.

After she found her way to my house she parked her car and ran in. I left a note for Charlie, because he'd probably forget. Then I resumed to pack some clothes and things for tonight. We made it back to her car pretty quickly. And we drove to her place, I was expecting to see a nice house, not unlike the Cullens' but we pulled up to an expensive-looking hotel. I gave her a questioned look.

"We haven't found a house yet; we're staying here until we can find one." I nodded and we went inside and got in the elevator.

I was surprised to see we were going on the top floor. It turns out; she was in the whole penthouse suite-thing. I didn't even want to know how much it cost.

"So do you want to go see the Cullens now or later?" she asked.

"I know you want to go see your brother, so let's go now." She brightened up at that.

"Oh, well do you want to just spend the night at the Cullens'? I don't think the hotel likes people coming in really late at night." I nodded and just picked up my stuff. She ran around very fast packing what looked like two sets of clothes and a…blanket? I guess it was a sentimental thing.

As we walked out of her room I noticed something. The bed looked…lived in. It must've been my imagination. And then we were off to Edward's. I couldn't wait to see him.

-Elaine's Point of View-

Bella and I were going back to the Cullens. I couldn't wait to see my brother. I decided a car was going to be too slow.

"Bella?" I said, trying to sound as innocent as possible.

"Yeah?" she looked at me in the elevator.

"I don't think we should take the car…" I looked at her sheepishly. "Must we run?" I nodded. She sighed.

"Fine…" she said

"Yay!" I gave her a hug.

And when we got out of the hotel, she put both of our bags on her back and we walked over to the near-by wooded area. Then I put her on my back and I ran as fast as I could to get to my brother's house.Just a few minutes later we arrived at the big house. I could smell Brendon's scent, he was already there. We walked through the door. I held onto Bella, she was a little shaken from the run. She just opened the door and walked in. The Cullens and Brendon were sitting at a dining room table chatting and laughing. Edward was pretty quiet. But when we walked in he looked up and smiled.

"Bella, Elaine, welcome, come in and take a seat." Esme said warmly. Bella and I nodded. I took a seat between Edward and Brendon. Bella sat in the middle of Emmett and Edward.

"So we were discussing how our families came together. We were just about to get to our story, care to tell it?" Brendon asked with a smile. I sighed,

"Okay…Where do I begin..."
