Afterlife

Summary:
There's a new girl in the town of Forks, she's smart, musical and down to earth. Sound like anyone we know? So what happens when she meets the Cullens? ES FINITO! Also some people haven't realized this, I changed the title of this from, 'A New Point of veiw' to it's current title 'Afterlife'. Sorry for the confusion! Also in this and all of my other stories the pictures do not belong to me I don't claim them in any way what so ever and I put who does own them in the chapter. Don't sue me please.colorful-12.gif image by Erka_03Someone left me a review with a banner! I was so happy but then my mouse got knocked and the review got deleted. So if you are that amazing person who made me a banner, can you please try and put it in another review? I would be eternally greatfull.

Notes:
I own none of the characters in the fabulous Twilight Saga. The rest however are figments of my imagination. For anyone who knows me I picked the name for the main character because I couldn't think of a better one, and once I put it in there it just worked.

Chapter 17

"So Bella," I asked turning around in my seat to look at her, "have you ever been to Chicago?" She shook her head no and I grinned. "Awesome! I love showing people around Chicago. How much time do we have Alice?"

"About three hours once we get there."

"Alright," turning around to look at Bella again, "We’ll show your around Chicago then get my stuff."

The rest of the ride there was entertaining I talked to Bella about music nearly the whole time. A lot of the songs I liked this decade she liked before she left her iPod in Phoenix. I laughed when I heard the story, apparently she had had it on her desk ready to go, and ended up putting a piece of paper on it and completely forgetting it.

We were half way there when I caught Edward looking at Bella like he’d never seen her before. Bella noticed too, "What?" she asked him.

"I never knew you liked music, more then just what your mom played. Why didn’t you tell me?" He asked.

"You never asked," she said with a smile. He sat back with a slight frown trying to remember if had ever asked her anything about music other then classical. Bella gave me a questioning look, wait a second I mouthed knowing Ed’s search threw his memories, of him asking her any kind of question was almost done.

"You’re right I never did," he said he was disturbed about this slip up on his part, and started trying to remember what else he’d never asked her.

"Well," I said to Bella while Alice laughed at her brother, "you gave him a lot to think about. How do you feel about Rise Against?"

The rest of the car ride was spent with either Alice and I arguing about music, or me and Bella talking about it while Edward listened. Sometimes when I was arguing with Alice he’d say I told you so to Alice. Which made me laugh.

"You can’t say a type of music is trash if more then a few people like it." I told her.

"Whatever," she said and we kept arguing.

When we finally got to Chicago I convinced Alice to let me drive. I parked a block away from the park. "Come on, I want to show you the bean," I said.

They all looked at me weird. I just laughed and walked to the park. Past the fountain faces or so I called them. They’re huge pillars of tiles, that famous faces are projected onto. Every few minutes the face change to look like they’re spiting and they actually spit out water.

I led them up the stairs next to the restaurant, with the hot dog stand right next to it to where the bean was on top of the hill. The bean is a huge structure thing shaped like a bean covered in mirrors. If you walk threw it there are millions of you reflected in the glass because of a kind of dome thing inside of it that’s covered in mirrors too.

"Whoa," Alice said.

"Yep, meet the bean, Bridget, Maxi and I always used to come here with and climb on top of it when we couldn’t sleep." I said.

"How’d you get up there?" Edward asked.

"Telekinesis, I made it look like I was climbing it and as soon as I was on top I’d reach down for them. They both wonder why they can climb the bean just not trees." I said. I showed them the rest of the park, the flower gardens, the huge bridge Maxi and I used to skateboard on. Alice and I even put our feet in the little river that runs threw the back of the gardens.

"Alright Bella are you afraid of heights?" She looked at me weird but Edward smirked knowing what I was getting at.

"Sears tower right?" he asked.

"Yep the last thing on the agenda before we get my stuff and you can take her to the place you’ve been thinking about all freaking day." I said laughing. He’d been thinking about taking Bells to his old house here from when he was human. I thought it was cute.

So I took the back roads to sears tower. Bella and Alice looked at it with big eyes.

"Alice? I thought you’ve been to Chicago." I said.

She gulped. "Um….I never saw this particular building."

I laughed, "You know it used to be the biggest building in the world. Your not scared of heights are you?"

"Nope!" she said popping the "p", and started to walk in. But I grabbed the back of her collar and lead her to the back.

We walked threw the back part of the building and finally after ten minutes we got to the security part of the building. I listened to the minds in there, then grinned, and walked right in.

"Dede!" I yelled.

"Huh? Oh hey Kate what’s up? And I told you not to call me that." Damian said.

"You owe me a favor." I said walking up to him.

"For what?"

"For bailing you out of Jail," I said.

"Come on that was a friend doing something for a friend," He said whining. The last time I asked him for a favor it was…well huge.

"Its not that big," I said laughing.

"What is it?" He asked still suspicious .

"Get us to the top in less then thirty minutes. I’ll pay and everything, I just don’t have time for a two hour trip to the top."
