Afterlife

Summary:
There's a new girl in the town of Forks, she's smart, musical and down to earth. Sound like anyone we know? So what happens when she meets the Cullens? ES FINITO! Also some people haven't realized this, I changed the title of this from, 'A New Point of veiw' to it's current title 'Afterlife'. Sorry for the confusion! Also in this and all of my other stories the pictures do not belong to me I don't claim them in any way what so ever and I put who does own them in the chapter. Don't sue me please.colorful-12.gif image by Erka_03Someone left me a review with a banner! I was so happy but then my mouse got knocked and the review got deleted. So if you are that amazing person who made me a banner, can you please try and put it in another review? I would be eternally greatfull.

Notes:
I own none of the characters in the fabulous Twilight Saga. The rest however are figments of my imagination. For anyone who knows me I picked the name for the main character because I couldn't think of a better one, and once I put it in there it just worked.

Chapter 25

Kill, me. I thought as we pulled up to Bella’s house. I hated shopping, and I had no choice but to go. We knocked on the door of Bella’s house and waited for Bella to come out. "Coming!" she shouted. About a minute later she came and opened the door. "Hey, what’s up?" she asked tying her hair up in a pony tail.

"We’re going shopping!" Alice shouted then dragged Bella back inside, "You need a better outfit then that."

"Go ahead, and sit down Kate!" Bella shouted down, knowing I would probably have to wait a while. I laughed walking into the kitchen, and sat on the table.

"Hello," Bella’s Dad said coming into the kitchen and putting a bowl in the sink.

"Hi," I said.

"Who’re you?" He asked.

"Edward’s twin, Kate Mason. Nice to meet you," I said shaking his hand, laughing in my head. His face was similar to the families yesterday, or earlier this morning, whichever.

"I didn’t know he had a twin," he said looking confused but shaking my hand all the same.

"We didn’t know either. Separated at birth," I lied. It was as good a story as any.

"Come on Kate! Time to go!" Alice said coming down the stairs dragging Bella behind here.

"Right," I said jumping off the table, "See ya Charlie."

I went to the door behind Alice. Bella grabbed her purse from the coat hanger. "Alice is taking us shopping Dad, I’ll see you later." she said walking out after us.

"What took so long?" Rosalie said as we climbed in the car. Alice and I in the front, and Bella sitting in the back next to Rosalie.

"Bella wasn’t appropriately dressed," Alice said smiling and putting the truck into gear.

"Well, I’m sorry I didn’t know we were going shopping," Bella said. Saying shopping like a curse.

"I’m really sorry," I said turning around to look at her, "I couldn’t rein her in."

"Its alright I’m used to it," she said slumping a little in her seat.

"Shall we talk about the wedding?" Alice asked brightly, looking at us.

"Great, your taking me shopping and forcing me to decide on stuff I know nothing about," Bella said from the backseat. I smirked, that was funny.

"No, I wanted to know if Kate and her band would perform." Alice said smiling at me suggestively. "I’d ask you to be a bridesmaid but I have no idea who’d walk you down the aisle. Do you have a mate?"

Ouch. Didn’t see that one coming. I thought thinking of Alice’s question. His face popped into my head automatically and I winced.

"No," I choked out.

Bella and Rosalie looked at me with a sad expression, almost like they knew, but Rosalie just looked confused like she knew I was lying… "Well can you please perform at the reception?" Bella asked probably helping me to get Alice off my back about the mate thing, she didn‘t look as confused as Rosalie just sympathetic.

"No problem," I said looking at her. "Which decade’s music did you want, or would you rather have a mix."

"Theses are questions, I’m okay with," Bella said hitting the side of Alice’s chair. We all laughed even Rosalie.

"I’ll switch with you," she said as I pulled out my iPod. It would be a long trip, overnight, (Damn you Alice) to somewhere in California. "That way you could talk to Bells about music."

"Awesome," I said swinging my legs so I was sitting in the middle of the seat in the back. Rosalie climbed in front. "I haven’t forgotten." I said. Rose had thought I’d forgotten about my promise to help her out with the power thing. "We’ll just wait until everything is calmed down yeah?"

Rosalie smiled and nodded and I grabbed Alice’s phone off the dashboard. Already knowing what I was doing Alice laughed and said, "that’s a good idea."

"What?" Bella and Rosalie asked at the same time.

"It’d probably be a good idea to keep the other music freak informed," I said, laughing. texted Edward all of the songs I was thinking of using, and he sent back the ones he approved of.

"Good, he picked the ones I wanted, your only job now is to listen to them, and tell me which you want," I said looking at Bella.

"Okay," she said, as I handed her the iPod. I listened to another iPod as she went through the list. It was the same list I’d given Edward, I wanted to test something…

"Why do I know all of these songs, but have no idea what they’re called or who sings them?" Bella asked suddenly.

I laughed, "That’s how most songs are, you’ve heard it, you love, you have no idea what the hell it is."

"Right," she said going back to the music.

In the next hour, Bella still wasn’t done, and we arrived at my own personal hell. "How the heck did we get here so fast?" I asked sitting up so my head was in between Rosalie and Alice’s seats.

"She drove over two hundred mile an hour most of the time," Rosalie said getting out of the car. I slapped my hand to my head, I should have suggested taking one of the slower cars. I got out two and sat on the hood waiting for Bella to realize she was the only one left in the car.

"Shit," she said getting out, five minutes later.

"Relax," I said, "I convinced them that you needed to finish the song. They went ahead. I’d say if we walk really slow we can get out of thirty minutes of shopping."

"Thank you!" she said, getting out of the car fully and walking with me to the front doors. "Where are we?" she asked looking around.

"Remember how she said we were going to Cali?" Bella nodded, "Apparently not. She took us to Mall of America."

Bella groaned shaking her head. "Oh it gets worse, she decided to make it an over night trip, considering we have five hundred and twenty stores here. What to go hide out in the Barnes and Noble?"

"Sure but won’t Alice know?"

"I’ve been blocking her since we got into the car," I said shrugging, "but she’ll do all she can to get us to go shopping. Say want to make this a game?"

"Huh?"

"Look," I said taking a map from a near by bin, and three highlighters from inside my jacket. "These are the red areas, places Alice would go, and want us to go. Green areas are place we want to go but she might look for us there. Orange, places she’d never think of us being. Let’s play a game of hide and seek."
