Afterlife

Summary:
There's a new girl in the town of Forks, she's smart, musical and down to earth. Sound like anyone we know? So what happens when she meets the Cullens? ES FINITO! Also some people haven't realized this, I changed the title of this from, 'A New Point of veiw' to it's current title 'Afterlife'. Sorry for the confusion! Also in this and all of my other stories the pictures do not belong to me I don't claim them in any way what so ever and I put who does own them in the chapter. Don't sue me please.colorful-12.gif image by Erka_03Someone left me a review with a banner! I was so happy but then my mouse got knocked and the review got deleted. So if you are that amazing person who made me a banner, can you please try and put it in another review? I would be eternally greatfull.

Notes:
I own none of the characters in the fabulous Twilight Saga. The rest however are figments of my imagination. For anyone who knows me I picked the name for the main character because I couldn't think of a better one, and once I put it in there it just worked.

Chapter 4

Alice and I were still staring at the screen when a news bulletin popped up.

TheCreater signed on.

TheCreater: Huge news! Oh by the way I’m the creator of this site. Alright we all know that the whole band are orphans right? And underage? Well they got caught! Kate sent me an email. Here’s what it said:

Creator person,

Sorry ’bout the name ya never real told us what yours was. We won’t be able to blog or answer questions anymore. There was a crime committed a few doors away from us and he squealed ‘bout the four minors living in the neighborhood, all because we were the ones to bust him.

Anyways we’re being put into the system right now we don’t know what’ll happen. They want to send us out of Illinois. I won’t be able to write again, but who knows? Maybe you’ll here us playin’ in some other state. They decided not to separate us.

Wish us luck,

Kate Mason

See? Wow we’re going to miss them, but like she said who knows? Maybe they’ll get signed and we’ll see them again.

TheCreator signed off.

"Wow," was all I said.

"Hey Edward her last name is Mason, is there any chance that you two are related.

"No, any relations of mine would have a different last name. But go to the questions page. I want to see it." While Alice was browsing I called Bella and told her I’d be a bit late Alice wanted me to see something on the computer. I told her about the band then she said she had to go.

"Charlie didn’t go grocery shopping again, ugh!" she said with a laugh. So we said bye and hung up.

"Edward she’s a vampire." Alice said. I’ll admit I was startled I wasn’t really thinking about the Kate girl, I almost thought she was talking about Bella.

"No way!" I said worried, "wait how does she stay in Chicago then?"

"She’s a vegetarian, her eyes are gold. Well until we figure out where they’re getting moved no point in looking for more. Go meet up with Bella; she’s going to trip in the grocery store." Alice said laughing again.

"Oh, not again," I said and ran out. I found Bella at the grocery store but she didn’t trip. I was starting to get the feeling Alice wanted me out of the house when Ben walked up to us.

"Hey guys did you hear about that band from Chicago?" he asked obviously bursting with news, so this was why Alice wanted me to come, "Ang didn’t want to talk about it."

"Is she here?" Bella asked him.

"Yeah it’s her little brothers' birthday and she’s getting the cake, I offered to come along." He said.

"I’ll go talk to her, you two can talk about music if you want." She said walking away.

Whoever this Kate girl was, her and her band was causing a lot of waves. "So do you know about them?" Ben asked again.

"Yeah I heard about it what’s up?" I asked curious.

"Well my cousin lives in Chicago, around where the band used to live. Apparently they got sent here, to somewhere in Washington."

"You’re kidding," I said well that would explain Alice’s vision; we might actually be at one of the concerts.

"Hey what’s the deal with that band anyways? I heard something about them only playing covers." I asked wanting to know.

"Oh, that’s actually pretty cool. Each person in that band can play all of the instruments; they need to have for the band. So what they do is take suggestions from the crowd, and whoever knows it the best sings it." Ben said," But it’s usually Kate who sings. She knows a lot of songs."

"Alright, but how do the other band members know what notes to play?" I asked. Whoever these people were they were interesting.

"Oh, see what they did is practice the songs, the way they were going to play, basically what they did was go on their iPod and play each song that was on them with whoever’s iPod it was singing. Then if two people had the same song it was whoever sung it best." Ben said.

"’Kay so what if they don’t know a song?"

"They’ll tell you flat out. But that doesn’t happen often, my cousin joked that if you put them together they knew every song known to man. It’s not true but it’s kind of funny."

"Alright, so what happens if the song requires two guitars?" I asked, and it really was my last question, we had just gotten to Bella and Angela, and I was trying not to get side tracked, looking at Bella.

"Mason always has her guitar on her back just in case. I don’t know about you but I think she’s really go-"

"If you say good looking I’m going to smack you." Angela said. Bella just laughed. I will always like the sound of her laugh.

"No, no I was going to say… good at singing." Ben said trying to cover the fact he was actually going to say gorgeous, honestly sometimes teenage boys are completely predictable. He put his arm around Angela’s waist.

"You had better be glad that fits." Angela said. I smirked while Bella tried to contain her laughter by pressing her lips together. It wasn’t really working, every few seconds her mouth would relax and a huge smile would break across her face. It was

entertaining to watch.

Ben turned the conversation away from the subject. "So what kind of cake did you get for your brother?" He asked Angela.

"Beats me," she said obviously glad for the change in subject. "My mom ordered it; my job was to pick it up and make sure it got to the party in one piece. It’s no wonder why she didn’t send my dad, he drives like a mad man, the cake would have sooner been on his windshield then at that party. At the mention of crazy driving, Bella glanced at me. Even if I couldn’t read her mind I could tell what she was thinking. It was somewhere along the lines of, if Angela saw Edward drive she wouldn’t think her dad’s driving was crazy at all.

Of all the things about me that could scare her she chooses my driving. I thought, shaking my head. I was almost laughing.

"Well, we’d better go if we’re going to get to that party on time. See you guys later." Ben said.

"Bye guys, good luck Bella," said Angela, and they left.

Why’d Bella need good luck? We were at the register before I got up the courage to ask what. My mind was whirling with things that she could need luck for. Half of which Angela shouldn’t know about. "What Angela wish you luck for?" I asked worry edging into my voice.

Bella caught it. "Nothing for you to worry about. I’m just wondering how to tell Renee." She said.

"I‘ve got an idea." I said when actually it was Esme and Alice who came up with it. "Why don’t we go down to Florida and invite her then come back up with her for the wedding?"

I was not planning on her getting suspicious. "Oh, no what is Alice planning?" she asked apprehension in her eyes.

"How in the world did you know?" I asked confused, I didn’t think I said anything about Alice.

"I know you, and I know Alice. Usually when you want to get me out of town, people are coming," We were still in the grocery store, so she couldn’t say vampires. But she wasn’t quite done yet." When Alice wants me out of town, either something is a surprise, or she wants to take me shopping. I have a feeling it's Alice this time."

Dread came into her voice when she said shopping. Of all of the girls I’ve met I did not find one who didn’t like shopping. I had lived with Rosalie and Alice for years. Their favorite thing to do together was shop. Then along comes Bella, and I fall in love with the one girl in the entire world who doesn’t like to shop. Proves how strange I am.

"What are you thinking?" she asked me almost laughing.

"Why do you ask?" I was trying to judge her laughter. It wasn’t really working.

"Because you have a tendency to over think things, and because you look confused." She said we were by her truck now. I looked at it a bit disdainful. There was nothing wrong with it, but I didn’t see why she wouldn’t let me buy her something faster.

Before I could get wrapped up in my own thoughts again I answered her question. "I was thinking about how observant you are. I never said one thing about Alice and you knew it was her. Well her and Esme but still. Then just a second ago, you noticed that I was confused. Other than that I was thinking about why you wouldn’t let me buy you a new car."

"It’d be a waste of money, my truck works just fine." She said picking the subject that didn’t involve me complimenting her. Another thing I didn’t understand about her. What was the phrase in that song, something about how the girl is a puzzle? That’s kind of how I see Bella except with everything I figure out I fall more in love with her. She’s evolved from someone fascinating to be around into someone who I couldn’t stand to be without.

I was in my car now following her truck to Chief Swan’s house. My mind was drifting into those horrible months we spent apart. I remembered how I could barely move. How I spent my days huddled in an attic in Brazil. Then when I thought she was dea-. I’m not going to think about it. I refuse to. Everything worked out fine, we’re even getting married in two months everything would be fine.
