What love, my love?

What love, that chases out the hurt,

But brings in a pain, too awful to bear?

What love, that replaces the missing,

But leaves you so soon?

What love, that brings the good in you,

And then the bad times come on?

What love, my love, that you bring,

And when you leave, take with?

My love, I give you for eternity,

But when you’re gone, so is love.

And forever be, for what love it is

That takes my breath away.
