“Beck?” I asked utterly confused.

“The one and only,” Beck replied humorously.

“But…I don’t understand. The last time I saw you, you were getting fired. How-” I started to ask but I was cut off by Beck.

“Even the ‘Head Angel’ has a boss. And I just let him know what she was up to,” Beck said calmly as she examined her nails. She suddenly perked up. “And now I’m the Head Angel! Cool huh?”

“What? Why didn’t you tell me before! This is awesome!” I said excitedly. Cool…I knew the Head Angel.

“And as my first act I reversed the all-white rule! You should see what some people are now wearing in Heaven!” she laughed lightly and then became serious again. “Now, about those demons,” she said. Everyone nodded their heads, being brought back to Earth after the news of Beck’s promotion.

“What can we do?” I asked hopeless. “You said that you knew a way to defeat them.” A smile was plastered on Beck’s face.

“Yes, I do. After my promotion, I got a lot of new powers. Jonathan wouldn’t want to mess with me anymore…” she trailed of day dreaming of her revenge. “Anyway! I came across some new information! I already told this to Bella, but I don’t think you all know this yet,” she said motioning to the rest of my family. “Demons absorb suffering. But they can only absorb so much. If someone around them is in enough pain…then they have to go back to Hell to recuperate. Hell is like a safe haven for demons. It’s a place where nobody can hurt them. But if someone is in too much pain, the demon’s will always remember the pain. It will be scarred in their memory. If that happens, they may have to stay in Hell…forever,” Beck said proud of herself. We all just sat there with our mouth open.

“Wow,” Emmett said. “That’s some pretty handy information.”

“How will we find someone in so much pain, first of all?” Edward asked. Beck opened her mouth and the closed it.

“I was hoping that you had an answer to that,” Beck said quietly. She looked to the ground, trying to think of a solution. I looked into her thoughts to see what she was thinking.

What can we do? Who here has actually gone through enough pain to make Jonathan stay in Hell forever? Maybe their transformations. But I doubt that they even remember theirs. Bella was just changed recently though, but she already went through enough pain already. With Edward leaving her and all-

I stopped it right there. The whole in my chest was starting to make it’s self known again. I saw Jasper flinch and Edward hugged me tightly. I grabbed his hands very tightly. The whole, though, disappeared, when Edward started to kiss my neck. I smiled happily.

“So Beck, what powers do you have?” Carlisle inquired. Beck perked up at that.

“Oh I have many! You see, I have a stronger attack now. Instead of a fire ball I shoot out, it’s a stream of fire. And if I hold on to a demon or angel, I can keep them from poofing somewhere else! I’m a whole lot stronger now! And, I get to make the rules!” She said eagerly. She went off day dreaming again.

“What happened to the old Head Angel?” I asked with a chuckle. Beck got an evil look on her face.

“She’s now a guardian angel. Now I get to make her miserable like she did to me!” Beck chuckled again and I was scared to see the dark side of Beck. She seemed to snap out of it pretty fast though. “Oh! And I got a new ring tone!” She flipped out her phone. It started to play “Cherry Lips” by Garbage. She then flipped it closed and it disappeared. Beck’s good mood brought all of our spirits up. I laughed despite the circumstance.

But of course, when I was starting to get actually happy again, a huge rock flew through the window. We all looked at it like it was an alien. Alice went over to look at it. There was a note attached. How cliché.

You can’t hide. You can’t run. I’m coming for you.

“If he’s going to break someone else’s window, then he at least could of written something a little more creative!” Alice yelled. She dropped the note on the floor like it wasn’t worth her touch. Beck looked at the note and chuckled.

“Jonathan never would have wrote that. It’s probably that new guy,” Beck said still chuckling.

“Hey! This is a direct threat to my life! How is it funny?” I asked confused. I had to admit, it was a pretty lame note. He could of added a pun in at least. I shook my head and leaned on Edward’s shoulder again. He ran his fingers through my hair and kissed the top of my head.

“You should be careful though,” Edward warned. I rolled my eyes and smiled.

“When am I not careful?” I asked. I realized what I just said. “Don’t even respond to that,” I muttered. He laughed and hugged me tightly.

“How could I have ever lived with out you?” he joked. “You’re just too funny.” Funny? How was I funny? I decided to ignore him. “Bella?” he asked, seeing that I went stiff. “Bella,” he said a little more seriously. “Fine then,” he stated. He started to cover my neck in kisses. I tried to resist, but he made his way up to my mouth. I couldn’t hold it in any longer. I threw myself onto him and he fell back onto the floor in surprise. “I didn’t expect that reaction,” he muttered. He jumped up and brushed off his clothes.

“Now, if you two are done fooling around, we have business to attend to,” Beck said sternly. We looked around the room and saw that everyone was looking at us funny. We stifled our chuckles as Beck went on.

We’re acting like a couple of two year olds…Edward thought to me. I chuckled and started to play with the back of his shirt. Now that’s no fair…Edward thought again. Fine then…He started to kiss the corner of my mouth.

“BELLA! EDWARD!” Beck yelled at us. We looked up surprised. “This is concerning your life! I would think that you would at least listen!”

“Sorry, Beck,” I muttered. I elbowed Edward’s stomach, but he just laughed.

“Anyway,” Beck said moodily. “We have to figure out what to do about Jonathan. The pain thing may no work out, so we have to convince him to leave Bella alone otherwise…” Beck’s voice started to fade as Alice and I were lost to a vision.

Jonathan and James were discussing what to do next. They went through numerous options, some including my mother and father. They didn’t find out about Beck’s promotion yet. In the end, they decided to split up for the attack. Jonathan would distract the Cullens and Beck while James gets me alone.

I came from my vision to the worried look on Edward’s face.

“I think we’re a little late with our plan, Beck,” I said quietly. The door burst open then and Jonathan stood in the entrance.
