Chapter 5

I ended up in the ocean.

Yes, the ocean.

It was a calming place.

A place where I could clear my place.

Now that was my kind of place!

My hair floated around me as I sat on the bottom of the ocean.

Hmmm….

That sounds like a sad song doesn’t it?

The bottom of the ocean?

Story of my life.

My life is a sad song.

Like Destiny always said.

All I wanted was to get through life.

Instead I got so much more.

Then, however, God decided I didn’t deserve it and threw it out the window.

Bella, let’s get down to business, my brain reminded me.

Agreeing with my brain, I began contemplating what I should do.

I could get my own place.

I know there is no option of living with Taylor unless I wanted to be hunched over for the rest of my eternity.

I heard my name being called.

I swam up to the surface.

As soon as I got there I began gasping for breath.

Eh?

What can I say?

It’s not something new.

Emily had been the one who found me.

When I told her I was going to get my own place, hopefully close by, she freaked out.

Then she started to plan.

Emily decided that Taylor, Amy, and Samantha would stay where we all were living at the time.

Emily, Destiny, and I would get our own place.

Heather would move back and forth.

Sometimes we would forget about Heather.

That was only because the family was so big…

Now, I was sitting on my bed in my brand new bedroom in my brand new house!

However…

I had to get to school.

Isn’t that great?

School!

Ya right.

It’s not like I learn anything.

Worse, the Cullens will be there.

I don’t think I can face them yet…

Wait, I bought new clothes and my hair is a very dark black…

My name has also been changed to White after all…

Ahhh, it’s nice to know these kind of things.

Especially when trying to avoid someone…

Emily’s jaw dropped when she saw me.

“What do you think?” I asked her.

“Bells…” Destiny began.

I raised my hand.

“Guys, I know what you’re going to say. Just listen first. When I’m ready to face the Cullens…” deep breath “I will go back to normal. This is just till I can.” I said.

Emily’s eyes narrowed.

“I. Don’t. Think. So.”

Then she threw me onto her shoulder and marched me into the bathroom.

I stared at me in the mirror.

I looked like me.

It was disgusting!

I wanted so bad to not face them.

But now I had to.

Curse Emily and the fact she washed out my dye.

Curse the fact I didn’t use permanent dye!

I sighed and looked at Emily.

She had such a satisfied look on her face, I felt myself melt right then and there.

Even though Taylor was what held me up through the years, Emily really helped too.

She always got me laughing!

Let’s face it; if Taylor wasn’t what helped me, Emily was the one who could.

Emily looked at me.

“I’m sorry Bells. You needed it though. You need them.” She whispered.

See what I mean?

My friends do stuff I don’t like.

That’s a fact.

However, I never said I didn’t appreciate it.

‘Cause I do.

So much.

They are, after all, the things that keep me going.

That keeps me from breaking down.
