Emmett’s POV

"Surprise!!!" Exclaimed Alice.

"Umm... what the heck are these for?" I asked, too surprised to think of anything else to say.

"I’m so tired of you moping around all day, so I did some researching, and I found out that THE TRADE is playing down in Redding, California. Tickets were cheap, so I got you one, for the concert, and a three night stay in a hotel"

I sighed. And then... it hit me. "Aren’t they playing just a little closer? You aren’t sending me away so you can set up one of your crazy, loud, overdone party’s for me are you?" I couldn’t help but be just a little upset!

"Me?" she asked pointing to her chest. suddenly looked overly innocent.

"No, the other little annoying vampire that lives down the hall, YES OF COURSE YOU!!!"

She cringed back. I hadn’t really realized I snarled. " I just wanted to get you out of the house, so you can have some you time."

I sighed and put my hands to my temples. Gosh Alice, you do have the worst timing. "OK, fine. I’ll go if it makes you happy".

"YAY!!" Alice squealed, as she danced off down the hall.

I sang to my self as I packed a bag:

These are the chronicles of life and death
And everything between
These are the stories of our lives as fictional as they may seem
You come in this world
And you go out just the same
Today could be the worst day of your life....

I really didn’t like this song, but it...it brought back to many memories. Memories of Rose. Which reminded me of another song, Marvelous Things:

Dark nights hold tight,

And sleep tight, my, ba-by

Morning light, shall, burst bright

And keep us, here, safe-ly

But even so, I didn’t much like that one either... so I started singing one of THE TRADE’s songs (since I was about to go see them)

There’s a war that, consumes the times, a foundation broken, by modern minds,

As they forfeit truth for, youth and wealth, they mislead the masses, for themselves,

We're declaring all out war, we’ll end these boundaries, so let it down, let it down, oh.

We're declaring all out war, we’ll end these boundaries, so let it down, let it down.

Leaders cloak and, dagger Leach, they force their doctrines, into, what they teach,

Theres a special place for, the wolves of lies, prepare ye the way, for judgments eyes,

We're declaring all out war, we’ll end these boundaries, so let it down, let it down, oh.

We're declaring all out war, we’ll end these boundaries, so let it down, let it down

We're declaring all out war, we’ll end these boundaries, so let it down, let it down, oh.

We're declaring all out war, we’ll end these boundaries, so let it down, let it down

Let it down let it down, oh. Let it down, let it down, oh. Let it down... let it down.

That’s my favorite song by them. When I turn on their CD, I always put that song on repeat until I hear it about...oh, 10 times. Or, till Edwardo comes up and switches it to a different song. Even though I was all packed up, I just sat and starred at the wall... then, of course, Alice ‘forgot’ to tell me something, and barged right into my room.

"Alice, dont you under stand the meaning of the word ‘privacy’?" I grumbled.

"Yes, of course I do! That’s why I never let anyone in my room!" she said with a quick smile. "So what I forgot to tell you is that you have reservations at two different restaurants, since you eat normal food. They’re with your ticket and hotel papers." She turned to dance out of my room, but then stopped suddenly, turned around, and said "You’d better hurry up and go hunting. Then you have to be at your hotel in 3 hours, and the concert starts an hour after that!"

I sighed and went and to put my bag in the jeep. Then, as soon as I got out of the garage, I started running. There was a grizzly 2 miles away that had my name all over it!
