Story:

I stood outside, looking out at the river that flowed past my darling Edward's house. The sun - which I couldn't see very well because of the thick rain clouds - was setting and it was growing cold but I didn't care at the moment, I had other things to worry about.

"Jacob." I whispered sadly as I stared into the trees.

"That's my name, don't wear it out." A quiet voice said before Jake emerged from the trees. I blinked to stop the fresh tears slipping down my cheeks. I ran to Jake and he caught me in an unbelievably warm embrace, I was sweating within minutes but I didn't care, it wouldn't matter once Jake let go and Edward came outside looking for me.

"I missed you so much Jake!" I exclaimed as he let me go and I looked up into his black eyes. "What are you doing here?"

"Sam and the others told me what was going on and I just couldn't miss this moment even if I was about to die." Jake answered. "Were they telling the truth? Are they really going to . . . you know?"

I nodded and Jake looked away briefly before he grinned back at me. "They can't wait until tomorrow?"

"Sorry Jake, Charlie and everyone else thinks I'm leaving for Alaska with Edward tonight so I can't stay." I answered quietly, not happy with the circumstances anymore. "Why did you leave?"

Jake sighed. "Don't let me ruin the last few minutes of your . . . human existence, Bells." He replied and I bit my lip, tears welling in my eyes again.

"Please don't cry Bells, you know I hate it when you cry!" He exclaimed before he hugged me again. I nodded against his shoulder before I heard Edward calling my name.

"I should go." I whispered, pulling away again.

"Okay . . . Bella?"

"Yeah?" I asked, looking back into Jake's eyes.

"Promise you'll never forget me, please." Jake asked and I smiled softly before nodding. I pecked him on the cheek and then ran back to where Edward was outside.

I'll always remember you, Jacob Black.

End Notes:

Pretty sweet little story really this one and I wrote it off the top of my head. I was actually pretty surprised by myself when I wrote it because I usually hate Jake, he is one of my least favourite characters in the Twilight Saga but of course, no offence to Team Jacob (Go Team Carlisle!) Well, I hope you enjoyed this and any constructive criticism or praise is highly welcomed - Breia
