La Tua Cantante

As usual, this will come in two parts: Edward's pov and Bella's, but the first is always Bella's. I got this idea from watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer, when Angel got shot with a poisoned arrow and has to drink Buffy's blood to survive. This is pretty much mid-Eclipse and the Volturi infected Edward with a disease called "Distruzione" (Italian for "Destruction") which only affects vampires and he will die unless he drinks the blood of his la tua cantante, which is Bella. This is just more hardships for Edward and Bella to fight through, but as always, they fight it together and never give up.

There are some adult-themed situations, so unfortunately this fanfic will have to be rated Adult instead of Everyone. Sorry to my younger fans, but please, exercise caution when reading this fanfic. It will get extremely detailed.

Jake was sprawled out on a cot, his head hanging off one end and his feet hanging off the other, until he noticed Edward, who was hiding me.

"You've got some nerve comin' to see me, bloodsucker!" Jacob said, angrily, miserably sitting up and leaning his back against the wall.

Edward growled softly and Jacob rolled his eyes, "Relax; the guard's out on coffee break; your secret's safe." He said, tauntingly.

He stood up and advanced towards us, clenching and unclenching his fists. "You're lucky I don't rip you to shreds right now, Cullen! Dirty rotten leech! What kind of man are you; feeding off the woman who loves you to save your life like hers means nothing?! I'd give my soul to have your head as a souvenir."

"Over my dead body, Jake!" I said, angrily, trembling with fear as he turned his glare on me.

Edward snarled and pulled me further back from Jacob.

"You!" Jacob said, tauntingly, "You know, I don't know about you...but as for me..." he raised his eyebrows and grimaced suggestively, "You're definitely the best I've ever had. And I've gotta say...I've definitely gotta be better than that."

I stiffened up and Edward growled, "Don't you dare talk to her like that, Jacob! You have no right to even be seeing her after what you did."

"And, why is she here, huh? I'd've thought you'd rather die than let her come. With how stubborn you are, I can't believe you caved. You must be more whipped than I thought."

Edward growled at the same time that I yelled, "SHUT UP, JACOB! What the hell is the matter with you, huh?! Don't you feel any remorse for what you did? Any sorrow at all for hurting me?"

He shrugged, "Remorse? I can't even spell it. Why should I feel remorse? Your beloved bloodsucker sure as hell doesn't, does he?" He glared at Edward with a taunting smirk, "Why does Bella love you? All you've brought her is pain. Pain, pain, pain, and more pain. You don't deserve her!"

At that moment, Edward growled so loud that the room literally shook and I cringed away from the sound as he lunged for Jacob.

"Edward, no!" I grabbed him and struggled to pull him back. "Please! Not now, not here. He's not worth it."

I held him, my arms wrapped around him from behind, until he calmed down. Then, he staggered slightly and turned around to face me.

"Let's go, Bella."

"Wuss!" Jacob accused, "What's the matter; can't face a little regret?"

"No..." Edward said, softly, turning to face him, stiffening as he did so. "I live with every regret imaginable everyday of my life. I am guilty of so many acts that you could never even dream of, Jacob. But, you feel no guilt for what you did."

"I was completely justified in doing it." Jacob said, carelessly.

"Justified?" Edward asked, bringing me around and show me to him, "Look at her, Jacob! Look what you did to her! You call this justice? Who the hell are you to do this to my Bella?!"

"I don't see your name on her, leech. Free game, as far as I'm concerned."

Edward clenched his fists and pulled me back again to approach Jacob. He glared at him and said, threateningly, "I used to think I was a monster--cursed to this hell--but you proved me wrong. You are the monster, dog! If you so much as think about touching her again, I will kill you. Mark my words, it is not over."

"Yeah, you bet your ass it's not. It is only the beginning."

Edward took a step back, but did not remove his glare from Jacob. He took my hand and pulled me slightly as he turned to leave.

"Wait." I pleaded, softly, looking now to Jacob, "I came to say good-bye. You have no idea how much it hurts me, but I think it's best. When you do get out, stay away from me. I never want to see you again." God, the pain of those words was so much more than I could bear right now. It took everything I had to hold it together and not break down.

Jacob smirked, "Ah, but you will. You'll be seeing in your dreams tonight. Deny it all you want, Bella, we both know you liked it. We both know who you'll really be feeling inside you tonight. And it is definitely not that leech, who I can only assume is impotent, based on his whole century spent getting no action."

"Leave. Her. Alone." Edward said, through clenched teeth, "She wants nothing more to do with you...and you will respect her wishes."

Jacob breathed an arrogant chuckle and said, ignoring him, "Bye, Bella...I miss you already."

He made to touch me when Edward grabbed his hand and said, "Do not touch her again, dog...or something unfortunate might happen."

With a quick twitch of his hand, Jacob's wrist was broken and he stifled a scream, wrenching his hand free and clutching it with his good hand.

"Like that." Edward took my hand and made to lead me out when Sam came in, angrily, ignoring me and Edward.

The guard followed him and unlocked the gate to let him into Jake's cell.

Edward tried to pull me out, but curiosity got the best of me, and I removed my hand from his to watch, still keeping my distance.

"Jacob, you damn idiot!" Sam backhanded him so hard he collapsed, falling onto the cot. "What the hell is your problem? I cannot believe you. Does your life mean nothing to you; your purpose?! You have a duty to fulfill and now, you've lost it all. You worthless moron!"

Jacob scrambled to his feet and looked at me, over Sam's shoulder. "It was all worth it." He shrugged, carelessly, "Besides...Bella needed to get laid by someone who could offer her some satisfaction instead of Captain Cardboard over there."

He nodded to Edward, who said, angrily, "Bella, let's go! Now!"

Jacob smiled and Sam pushed him against the wall, grabbing him by his hair, jerking his head back against the concrete wall.

I eagerly followed Edward out, eager to get away from it all.

We got outside and it was pouring down rain--as usual--and I groaned, "I can't catch a break!"

"You okay?" Edward asked, ignoring my irritability towards the rain.

I nodded, "Fine...let's just...go."

He nodded and opened the door for me, helping me in, before going over to his side and getting in.

We took off immediately, beoth eager to escape our troubles.
