Chapter 3

Edward nearly fainted if possible.

“Wait... Huh? How did… Whaa?” was all that came out of Edward’s mouth.

Emily giggled.

“Yes, that was certainly enjoyable.” She said happily.

I looked at her confused.

Emily’s POV

This day just kept getting better and better!

I’m telling you, nothing is funner than messing with people.

The sad part was I couldn’t do it very often.

It’s not every day you meet a group of vampires you get to play with!

“What do you mean?” Edward asked.

I shook my head, pitying them.

“You wouldn’t understand…” I whispered.

Edward’s POV

Why was Emily suddenly so solemn?

Then she brought her head up smiling.

She plopped onto the ground.

A huge puff of dirt came up.

“So Eddie, Hows life?”

I glared.

She laughed.

“Apologies. I forgot how much you hated that nickname.”

Emily’s POV

Okay…

I didn’t forget.

Oh well.

However, was it just me or did they not believe me about my statements on being a vampire.

I smiled bright and big.

“Now… Let me guess. You invited me over because Eddie here and everybody else didn’t believe me about knowing everything about you. Actually, I don’t know everything about you. I know so much more. More than what you know about yourself. As Eddie would put it, I know you better than yourself. I’m the reason for your nightmares. I’m the thing that scares little kids. I can be your best friend. If you prefer the hard way, I can be your worst enemy.” I whispered, sounding very deadly.

Just then, Carlisle came out of their house.

“What do I hear about worst enemies?” he asked.

“Hello Dr. Carlisle! I’m sorry but they just won’t believe me when I say I’m a vampire!” I said.

Carlisle looked extremely shocked.

However, he recovered quickly.

“For some reason… I believe you…” he contemplated.

I smirked.

“Like I said. No one ever said you have to have gold or red eyes to be a vampire. Why does this rule have to apply to me? What can I say? I’m special.” I said.

Alice grabbed my shoulder.

“Emily… How do you do this?” she asked.

“Do what?” My voice sounded innocent.

I have her a little wink after I followed Carlisle to their living room.
