I have to leave her
I cannot stay:
I am the predator
She the prey.

I am the lion
She the lamb,
What a foolish
lion I am.

To fall in love
To care so much
It is too cruel
That to hope I clutch.

My wish fulfilled
When she does say
She wants me here,
- here to stay.

I cannot leave her,
I have to stay:
I am the predator,
She the prey.

I am the lion,
She the lamb,
But she does want me
For what I am.
