Chapter 14 (Bella POV)

Lucy was acting really weird the morning after the story fiasco. She was constantly looking at me then, Edward, then me again. I was worried she was turning into Becca.

"Hey, do you mind if I take my bike today?" I asked her, as we were leaving for school.

"I would care why?" Lucy asked, acting if I was the one acting weird…ha.

"I don’t you been kind of out of it." I said as we walked to the key rack, Lucy grabbed both our keys throwing me mine.

"I’ve been out of it? You just asked me if you could ride YOUR motorbike to school."

"That’s different."

"How?"

"I was being sensitive to your feelings."

"What does my feelings have anything to do with you riding your bike to school?"

We bickered all the way to the bikes and out of the garage, not even realizing that the rest of the people in the house, we’re laughing as they listened to our fight, getting into their cars and following us.

What’s the deal? I asked Lucy telepathically.

You really want to know? she asked.

Would I be ask-

Alright, alright, you were talking in your sleep again last night.

And…Edward walked by your room, while you were.

The other cars pulled up just as I was going into shock, holding onto the handle bars for dear life staring down the road, trying not to look at the cars, more specifically Edward. I’m barely holding onto my cool, trying to keep it together, but failing miserably.

"Go on ahead, she’s just having a mild freak out, I’ll take car of it." Lucy said calmly. Waving the cars on even before Will rolled down his window.

"You sure?" Becca asked from the driver’s seat leaning over to talk out of Will’s window.

"I’m sure just go."

"Please tell me that he didn’t hear anything." I said as soon as they were down the road.

"I can’t tell you that, but if it helps any, he hasn’t slept for one hundred and seven years, he was way too tired to put anything together."

"Are you absolutely sure?"

"No, but look at the bright side, he didn’t say anything this morning."

"Yea?"

"Well, you know a lot about him right? Would he have said anything?" She asked.

"God Luc, I don’t know. I haven’t been around him for three years, and I’ve gone through a lot since then.

"Yea, but your also the one who thought about him every single day through out those three years." She said softly, knowing under usual circumstances this would upset me. "Would it really be so bad if he found out?"

"No, but… gosh. I’m just… he left. What if he does it again? Even if I just have to be his friend, its so much better then being without him again."

"Then we’ll be here, to help you through and kick his ass back across the world, to get him back to you." She said putting a hand on my shoulder. "Now why don’t we shatter the speed limit and beat ‘em to the docks?"

"Alright." I said chuckling slightly, and revving up my bike, kicking it into gear and speeding off. I heard Lucy coming up fast from behind me, fiddling with the speakers on her bike, starting to blast hard rock music, as she came up behind me, speeding past.

We were probably going on hundred to one hundred and seventy miles an hour. I wasn’t paying attention. I was too busy laughing. Getting almost hysterical as we passed the group of cars that held the rest of the family, most of them staring at us unbelievably. We made it to the docks, at least five minutes before them.

"That really cheered me up, thank you." I told Lucy as we waited for the rest.

"What are sisters for?"
