I leaned in and inhaled Edward’s honey sweet breath. His smoldering, golden eyes met mine, and our faces gradually got closer and closer, until our lips were only half and inch apart. I sighed. We kept getter closer until our lips finally met, starting out just as gentle as they did when I was human, when I was like a piece of glass that could break at any moment. We gradually became more passionate. Both of our mouths were open, and I ran my tongue along his sweet lip. His long, gentle fingers ran up and down my spine, no longer cold to me. I intertwined my fingers in his hair as I liked to do when I was human, except that this time he didn’t have to pull back.

Suddenly, there was a loud knock on the door, through which I could hear Alice’s and Emmett’s intense giggling. And then I heard a very large gasp from Alice. I was, or rather we were, consumed by a vision. My breathing came to a stop, and I could feel my face go blank.

The Volturi, standing directly outside the door to the lodge. Aro, Marcus, and Cauis, plus a few members of their guard, the only one recognizable to me was Jane.

“I don’t think he changed her,” stated Cauis, rather matter-of-factly.

“Well, we shall find out now,” said Aro, with a malicious grin on his face. “I can’t believe they managed to elude us so long; we can find anyone."

“Can we kill them anyways?” Begged Jane, pouting.

“We can’t kill them unless they didn’t hold up their end of the deal,” growled Marcus, obviously as irked by that fact as Jane.

The vision ended. Alice busted the door open, and we both glanced at each other. I borrowed Edward’s power to hear her thoughts.

I don’t know what that means. We should be in the clear now, but what if we aren’t. And when is this going to happen?

I next took a peek at Edward’s thoughts.

When is what going to- Oh! That’s what that was about. Well, they can’t mess with us right now. We followed out on our end of the deal; they can’t hurt us.

Emmett looked confused. “What the hell is going on?” He screamed, extraordinarily frustrated.

“Alice and I had a vision,” I stated blankly, waiting to gauge his reaction.

“Of the Volturi,” she added before Emmett could say anything.

“Coming to visit. Many of them want to fight,” I finished. Emmett grinned.

“Cool! We get to fight! Is that Demetri creep coming? I wanna tear him to shreds! Let me get him, please, please!” So typical Emmett. I let out a giggle, as did Edward. I turned to face him, and his face told nothing. I guess I would have to look to his thoughts,

The fourteen pieces of punctuation in the English language. Um, the period, the comma, the semi-colon… He was blocking his thoughts from me! I shot him a look, and all he did was smirk. I guess I can block my thoughts from her. Oh! She’s listening! I love you. I smiled. What was going on? Oh, yeah, the Volturi were coming. Of course.

I opened my mouth to speak when we heard a large knock on the door downstairs.
