Edward is still separated from the rest of his family. He goes back to Bella and finds things to be very different in Forks. So, he returns to his family and finds that that has changed as well. Has Bella really moved on? Should Edward? What happens when they see each other again? I wasn't sure how to rate it yet, since I'm still thinking about how I want the story to go. I own nothing (except for the new characters)

I stopped for the first time in a while and sniffed the air. Deer! And not far from me too. Excellent. I didn’t think about anything else as I headed toward the direction of my prey. I could see it not fifty feet away from me. Silently, I approached it, careful not to startle it. I really didn’t have the time to run after it right then. From my crouching position behind a particularly wide tree, I calculated how far I would have to try to get to it. Then, I pounced.
It made a small noise that quickly turned into a quite gurgling as I bit into the animal’s neck, careful not to get any of its blood on me. I wanted to look my best when I saw them. The blood was rushing into my mouth, feeling my senses with the scent and taste of the warm liquid. I waited until the body was sucked nearly fry, not really tasting it. I dropped it on the ground afterwards. I touched my lips softly to wipe off the blood that still clung to them and that was when I heard it.
It was a strange hissing noise, feral. I had not noticed anyone in the clearing when I saw the deer. I spun on my heels to face this new threat. Immediately, I recognized his beautiful face as one that has been hunting my dreams for the past month. I smiled, not knowing what else to do. Immediately, my head started trying to work out how I could get him to calm down and talk to me.
“Hello” I said to him, crouching slightly in case he made a move to attack me. He seemed startled at the statement and merely stared at me, waiting, I supposed.
When it was evident that he was not going to say anything, I continued. “My name is Camilla Spencer. I apologize for startling you just now. I am not trespassing, I assure you. I mean you no harm.”
He continued to stare at me, waiting still. I sighed and continued. “I have just come from New York. I ran from there, actually. I could not risk flying. I am so glad that I have finally found you. You’re my destiny, you know.”
At that he straightened and looked at me, confused. “Destiny?”
“Yes” I answered “I have been looking for you, you know. And now I have found you at last.”
I checked him for any signs that he would still attack me and, when I saw none, walked up to him and put my arms on his chest as leverage so that I could kiss his cheek. ”I’m home” I whispered in his ear.
I had just finished hunting and was on my way back when I heard a distinct thud, like a body dropping to the ground. I followed the sound to a small clearing and that’s where I saw her. I did not know who she was. She seemed familiar, like I had known her from a past life, but strange at the same time. I did not know what to make of this girl. All I knew was that she was a vampire and that usually meant trouble. I crouched slightly and growled. She looked up at me in surprise. Her hand was still touching her full lips and her eyes were wide. She looked at me for a second and smiled.
My head immediately began sounding alarms. She smiled! What normal person or vampire would smile at a possible threat unless they, themselves are a threat. She waited for me, but I said nothing. She kept talking when she realized I wasn’t going to be returning the salutation.
“My name is Camilla Spencer. I apologize for startling you just now. I am not trespassing, I assure you. I mean you no harm.” She said it like I was supposed to just believe it. “I have just come from New York. I ran from there, actually. I could not risk flying. I am so glad that I have finally found you. You’re my destiny, you know.”
Destiny? What the hell was that supposed to mean? She kept on smiling, waiting for me. She seemed genuinely happy to see me, this beautiful goddess. “Destiny?” I asked, not knowing what else to say to her. The way she was holding herself, so relaxed and trusting made me relax too. There was something endearing about her. Like an innocent, almost.
“Yes” she answered, “I have been looking for you, you know. And now I have found you at last.”
She took a cautious step forward, watching for my movements. I was not going to attack her, I knew that much. She seemed to know it too as she approached me slowly. Then, when she was close enough, she placed her hands lightly on my chest, I bent down slightly, mesmerized. She placed her lips softly on my cheek, smiled again, and whispered into my ear “I’m home.”
She then proceeded to wrap her arms around me, light but firm, just like the touch on my chest. I couldn’t move anymore. All I could think of was Rose and what she would do if she saw me in this position. I think she sensed my discomfort because she let me go and held her hand out.
“I am making you uncomfortable, I apologize again. You’re Emmett, right?”
I took the hand that hung daintily in front of me. “Yea.. Yea I am. How do you know that? And what do you mean that you’ve been looking for me?”
“Not you, specifically. Your whole family. Will you take me to them. I have something to ask all of you.”
I looked at her for a second. She really did not seem like a bad person, a little lost, confused, and much too familiar maybe, but not bad.
“Follow me.” I said and started running towards the house.
