Rose decided that she wanted to plan my wedding, despite the protests of Jacob. They, unlike Jasper and I, did bear enmity towards each other. With Bella and Edward on Isle Esme, things were a lot quieter. We all just hung out at home, working on Edward and Bella’s cottage and playing games. I dragged Jacob along shopping for Bella’s new wardrobe, and Rose sometimes decided to tag along. Then one day, I looked at Bella’s future and it wasn’t there. What was she doing, hanging out with some more werewolves?

“I have to call Edward,” I said. Jacob stopped at a couch area (you know, the ones that are randomly placed in malls- they really confuse me…) and sat down with all the bags. I sat down next to him and pulled out my cell phone. After dialing Edward’s number, it rang for quite a while before Bella’s scared voice answered. I asked if she was okay, and she proceeded to tell me, after a bit of coercion, that she was pregnant.

What?

That wasn’t possible.

“Let me talk to Edward,” I said.

“Edward, is Bella okay? Have you been giving her drugs?” I asked.

“No, she’s not okay, and no, she’s not on any hallucinogens. She is pregnant… I need to call Carlisle.”

“Okay,” I snapped my phone shut, and looked at Jacob.

“Bella’s pregnant.”

“What?”

“Bella’s pregnant.”

“Oh, poor Edward. I didn’t know she was a cheater.”

“She’s not a cheater. Edward is the father,” I replied.

Jacob got this weird look on his face like he ate something bad. “How… how is that possible?”

“I don’t know. We need to leave, talk to Carlisle,” I said. I checked everyone’s future, and now Rose’s was gone, too. Fan-tastic.

“We need to leave, NOW,” I said urgently.

“I’m coming, calm down. You know, we half-humans really do get tired.”

I rolled my eyes.

When we got home, we were met with chaos.

“Alice, Bella needs our help,” said Rose as soon as I got in the door. Esme hovered behind her, and I could tell she was on Rose and Bella’s side. Edward was going to flip. Emmett stood next to Rosalie loyally, and Carlisle looked lost, torn between his first son and his lover. He finally went to stand behind Esme, and I also took their side. It looked like the only one on Edward’s side would be Jasper.

“We’re going to the airport,” announced Carlisle. Everyone piled into the cars. When we got to the airport, everyone was restless, so Jacob and Emmett began to play paper football. Jasper and Carlisle joined in, and us girls just conversed worriedly. When their plane finally arrived, we all stood. Bella was off first, with Edward’s hand on the small of her back. She ran right for Rosalie. Edward looked very confused, and Rose smirked at him. I went to stand behind her, along with Emmett and Esme. Jacob followed me, and Carlisle followed Esme. Edward looked utterly shocked, and Jasper stood next to him in defiance of his family.
