When Bella went to bed that night, well, "went to bed for Charlie's sake", I drove home and called my parents into the livingroom so I could ask them about her.

"Is something wrong with Bella?" Esme asked me, looking concerned.

"No, nothing wrong persay," I answered. "Mom, Dad, I wanted to ask you something. Something important."

"You can tell us, son," Carlisle said, urging me to go on. "By now, we've heard it all," he muttered as an afterthought.

"Well, I was sort of wondering if Bella could move in with us. I mean, we have enough room and we think it would be easier to raise our children if we were all in one house. There's an empty room next to mine, that could be the babies' nursery. And Bella would stay with me of course, unless you have a problem with that. And it's not perminant, just until we can afford a place on our own." I stopped to take a breath and look for their reactions. Esme looked delighted and Carlisle was suprised.

"Edward, I like that idea very much. It's okay with Charlie?" my mother asked me. I nodded. "Well, Carlisle, what do you think?"

"I think that I'm very proud of our son for not giving up on Bella and that they're making progress on becoming a stable family. Sure, Bella can come stay with us. For as long as she would like, as long as it's okay with Charlie." He patted me on the back. "Oh, and she can stay in your room with you," he said, winking at me. I blushed deeply, just like Bella does, as they exited the room.

I checked the nearest clock; it was 10:32 P.M. Charlie would be asleep by now, but Bella still up. I drove to her house, parking around the corner so Charlie wouldn't notice when he left for work, and climbed up the tree and into her window. She was sitting on her bed, legs crossed, eating a jar of pickles and reading Wuthering Heights in her pajamas. Her hair was still wet, which means she just got out of the shower. I never liked it when she would shower alone (and by that I mean with nobody consious in the house if she were to fall). I grinned at her and went to sit next to her.

"Hello, sweetheart, how do you feel?" I asked, wrapping my arms around her and kissing her cheek.

She smiled and said, "Better now that you're here."

I took the jar of pickles from her and set them down on her nightstand. I gently laid her down on the bed and kissed her passionatly. Whenever I would do this, the babies would kick happily against Bella's insides. I think it's because they can hear their mommy's heartbeat speed up and so they react, but Bella denies it every time. I continued to kiss her until I felt the gentle thump viberate off of her and onto my stomach. I grinned against her lips and pulled away. I held my weight with one hand and placed my other hand against her bulging belly.

"Hi, little ones, it's daddy again. Are we a little excited?" I asked her belly softly. They continued to thump and I chuckled. "I think there's a boy in there," I told Bella.

"Really? What makes you think that?" she questioned with smiling eyes.

"Because he's a fiesty kicker! A real soccer player," I grinned.

"Do you think there's a little girl in there too?" she asked me.

"I sure hope so, but I would be so happy with anything, as long as they're healthy and happy." I kissed her stomach twice, once for each baby, then her waiting lips lovingly.

I got up and grabbed some headphones and placed them on her belly. Bella and I looked through my songs on my iPod and decided on Claire de Lune. We liked to play music for the babies, I told Bella it was so that they would be well-informed by the time they came out. While laying with Bella on her bed in comfortable silence, my mind went back to the day she felt their first kicks.

Bella had just gotten done cooking for Charlie, and was cleaning up the mess she made while doing it. She was about four months now, her belly nicely rounded. She was so beautiful, she just glowed every day. I heard that can be an upside to being pregnant. I was doing the dishes while she was putting away the leftovers. Charlie was in the other room watching the game.

We were chatting away about what to name the baby, what color to paint the nursery because we wanted to keep the gender a suprise, things like that, until I heard a loud clunk.

"Bella?" I almost yelled, whipping around to see her standing by the open refrigerator, the container of spaghetti spilled all over the floor. I ran to her, holding her in my arms. "Honey, what's wrong?"

"It..k-kicked," she gasped. She put her sausy hand to her stomach and then placed my soapy hand against hers. I would have laughed at the sight of our dirty hands together if I wouldn't have felt my little child kick. I froze. Bella was grinning at me, and eventually I broke out of my trance and kissed her deeply.

"I love you, Bella," I gasped.

"I love you, too, Edward. I'm so happy right now," she smiled.

We stood there for an immeasurable amount of time, her sausy hand and my soapy hand resting on her belly.

************END FLASHBACK**************

By the time I was done reliving that moment, I saw that my Bella was asleep. I took the headphones off of her stomach and covered her and I up in the sheets. I kissed her forehead and murmered, "I love you, my Bella. Sweet dreams." I fell into a deep, happy sleep.

After all of that, I even forgot to tell Bella that she was coming to live with me.
