I had a doctor's appointment after school and Alice wanted to come too, and how could I say no to Alice? So Edward, Alice, and I piled into the Volvo and headed to the hospital to visit Dr. Simon.

"Hello Bella, how are you feeling today?" Dr. Simon asked me as she entered the room, a friendly smile on her face. I was glad my doctor was a girl, it made me more comfortable.

"Pretty good. Well, other than the sickness of being pregnant," I noted.

Edward squeezed my hand. Alice was just overjoyed to be at the first appointment; it made her feel extra special. I could tell she was already planning on some way to torture my child if I had a baby girl, just like she does to me. Sometimes I think she does it because she knows it annoys me to all ends. But that's not really the point at the moment.

"So shall we see how far along you are?" I nodded my head.

Dr. Simon first confirmed that I was indeed pregnant then took my height, weight, and blood pressure. When that was all done, she told me that I was about 4 weeks and set a rough due date for me. By the time it was over, I was so excited to be pregnant and I wouldn't change a thing.

After our appointment, I had Edward drop me off at my house so that I could do my homework and make Charlie some dinner before our "big date." Alice, being Alice, said she would be over at 5:30 to help me get ready. Translation: I was going to be her guinea pig for the next two hours.

I cooked lasagna and garlic bread for Charlie. I heard him come in the door, hang up his belt, and said, "Smells good, Bells."

"Thanks, it should be done in about 10 minutes," I informed him. He nodded and went to catch the game scores on T.V.

As he sat down at the table 10 minutes later I said, "Dad, I have a date tonight with Edward so you're on your own. Think you can handle not burning the place down?" I teased.

"Bells, you know I don't forgive him for leaving you," Charlie started.

"Dad, it was my fault. I was the one that said things I shouldn't have. You're going to have to get over it, Edward's staying in my life."

He ended it with a "Hmph" and turned to his dinner. I never thought I'd ever say this, but I was hoping that Alice would show up soon to Barbie me up. She always put Charlie in a good mood.

I went upstairs and did a little bit of homework before I heard the doorbell ring. I made my way downstairs to see Charlie and Alice catching up on things.

"Hey Alice," I said as I approached them.

"Bella! Let's go get you ready for your hot date!" she exclaimed. Charlie coughed loudly and Alice rephrased. "Sorry, I mean your very appropriate, safe date." I blushed and led Alice up to my bedroom before she could do more damage.

"Okay, little hottie, let's get you ready for Edward!" Alice said once we were safely away from my father.

I rolled my eyes and sat down on the edge of my bed while waiting for Alice to pick out my clothes.

Apparently, my clothes weren't going to do, because she whipped out two bags from Macy's and pulled out a deep blue dress with a plunged neckline and a pair of silver strappy heels to go with.

"Here, go change. Edward will die," she said impatiently, holding out the clothes to me.

"I certainly hope he won't," I mumbled and went to change.

5 minutes later I was sitting on a stool in the bathroom with Alice curling my hair and makeup. I was turned around so I couldn't see my reflection in the mirror. It was suppose to be a suprise. I had rolled my eyes when Alice told me this.

When she was done with me (an hour and a half later might I add), she ordered me to turn around. So I did.

And I saw a quite a beauty.

"Alice," I said quietly. My hair was falling down my shoulders, curled to perfection. My makeup was natural and didn't make me look trampy. And the dress, oh the dress. It was perfect, especially since I was pregnant and my boobs were getting bigger, and I knew Edward would love it.

Must be some fancy date for me to be this dressed up.

She smirked at me through the mirror. "I know, I'm amazing. Now let's go before Edward thinks you're bailing on him!"

We said goodbye to Charlie and drove to the Cullen household. Alice led me through the kitchen and suddenly I was blindfolded.

No answer.

"Alice?" I said slightly louder. Again, no answer.

Then a pair of strong arms wrapped around me and a silky smooth voice was whispering into my ear. "No peeking."

"Shh, just follow me."

He led me out a door and to what I presumed was the backyard. We walked down steps and my feet hit soft grass. Yes, definately the backyard. Edward led me a few feet further, then stopped me.

"Okay, I'm taking off the blindfold now," he murmered.

It fell to the floor and my eyes wandered over the yard. He had covered the entire lawn with rose petals and there were candles everywhere; vanilla, I could smell. White Christmas lights also lit up the yard, and there was soft, classical music playing from somewhere near the house. In the very center, there was a table set for two.

I turned to face him. He was wearing black dress pants, a crisp white dress shirt, and a black tie. Suddenly, he was the only thing I could see, or even think about. "This is our hot date?" He just knodded. "It's amazing," I smiled up at him.

He gazed into my eyes and took my hands in his. "Bella baby, you are so beautiful," he told me, then softly kissed me.

We walked hand in hand to the table and he pulled out a chair for me.

"Why thank you," I giggled and he bowed.

As we were getting settled, the door opened and out walked Emmett in an apron carrying a tray of food. I laughed out loud at the sight.

"Bella!" Emmett said loudly. "Lookin' good! Oh, here's your food," he added, then left.

It was mushroom ravioli with salad and garlic bread. It smelled fantastic. I wonder if Esme cooked it.

"Emmett thought we should make something Italian because your name's Italian," Edward rolled his eyes. "He thought he was being clever. Idiot," he mumbled. I laughed, Emmett was my favorite of the Cullens, but of course I loved them all.

We made small talk; the food was delicious. Then Edward asked me when we should tell his family that I was pregnant. I probably looked a little shocked, I completely forgot that they didn't know yet.

"Well, do you want to tell them tonight? I mean, Alice already knows, and I'm assuming Jasper and Rosalie are already here?" I raised an eyebrow.

"If you want to. Charlie knows?" he asked me.

"Yeah, he found me crying in the bathroom that one day," I said quietly, looking down at my hands in my lap.

Suddenly, Edward was pulling me out of my chair and leading me to an empty patch of grass. Somebody turned on Claire de Lune and I smiled as Edward lifted me onto his feet and started dancing. I leaned my head against his chest and sighed contently.

The song ended and I stood on my tip-toes to kiss him. Then I took his hand and started leading him to the house. "Come on, let's go tell them. I'm excited!" And I was. Now I wanted this baby more than ever.

Edward called everybody into the livingroom.

"What's up, Edward?" Jasper asked when everyone was seated.

"Guys, Bella and I have something to tell you," he said, squeezing my hand. Alice was bouncing up and down in her seat, overly excited.

"Bella's pregnant."

"Oh, dear," Esme nearly fainted.

"Mom, everything's fine. We'll be fine. Bella's very excited," Edward told Esme.

"You're so young," she whispered. Carlisle rubbed her arm affectionately.

"Esme, we made a mistake, but we're welcoming this baby with open arms. We love each other," I told her.

"I know you do. I'm happy for you, and I know you two will make smart decisions from now on." Esme got up and hugged me. "You know you're family, Bella, honey."

"Thanks, Esme."

Edward and I were accepting congratulations from Jasper, Carlisle, and Rosalie when I heard someone cough. It was Emmett.

"Just one question. Is that why you kicked me in the balls the other day?"
