There was a phone call. Mr. Banner went over and answered it quickly. He muttered a few things and panic was evident on his face. “Everyone!” he yelled to the class. It was hard to here over them- each and every person was scared out of their minds. Everyone was jittery. People were moving around as Mr. Banner said this. “There is going to be a campus lock down. That means that we lock the doors and get under the lab tables so no one sees us.” He explained. Everyone did what he ordered-except me.

I was glued in place-my fingers griping the edge of the table so much that my knuckles turned white. It had to be the Volturi. And what was the school doing? A ‘lock down’. That will just be playing into their game. You need to get away- not hide. Because when it comes to vampires they know where you are. I didn’t know what to say- I couldn’t say anything yet because my guess could be wrong.

“Bella.” I heard mike whisper. I didn’t respond.

“Bella, are you ok?” he asked me again.

This time Mr. Banner came over. “Ms. Swan I need you to hide under your lab table like everyone else.”

“It won’t help.” I whispered.

“Excuse me, what did you say?” he asked me.

“I don’t think it will help.” I said louder.

“I think we should get out-now. The building where the screaming happened is close to ours- we should make a run for it. If it is a murder,” or the Volturi, “we should get out as soon as possible.” Everyone listened to me. Of course, it was highly unlikely that there was even a murder of any sort in forks-let alone any brutal deaths.

Mr. Banner was deliberating. “Your right. But if we do we have to be quite and we have to run. Not walk, run.” He said to the class. Everyone got out from under the desks as he unlocked the door. This was when I got up and fallowed them.

My heart felt like it was moving my body. I was shaking-only because of the thoughts of what may be lying ahead of me. I saw something in another class room that was close to ours- it looked painfully like Jane of the Volturi. She had the gray cloak on and so did others around her. It was the Volturi. They were hurting innocent people, innocent children. “move- run.” I yelled. Everyone ran.

As we were running outside towards the cafeteria and soon to the parking lot there was another scream. This time it was a boy. We all looked to where it came form-back where the class room was. There was another scream soon after. More and more- it sounded like one class was being tortured, which may very well be the case.

There was some glass breaking to. This time everyone was running. Faster and faster we all went as the screaming and glass breaking continued-like a mantra.

Out of the corner of my eye I saw something flash again. We needed to get into a safer area. Nobody had a clue what they were up against. “Into the cafeteria.” I said. I made my way over there as others soon fallowed me. There were other classes in there as well; they probably had the same idea.

Everyone ran in-and other teachers locked the doors. It won’t be enough, nothing will.

I couldn’t tell them all that though. I couldn’t say- there is no hope, there the worst vampires known to anyone. Everyone might as well say their goodbyes now’. I couldn’t. I looked around the room as I slumped against the brick wall. Some students were crying-it looks as though everyone in forks high was called into the cafeteria. Once people didn’t see their friends or siblings-that’s when the sobbing started. That class was the first to go-soon would come us.

Some were even hyperventilating-maybe they saw the Volturi in action. One girl was sitting like I was across the cafeteria. She was holding a rosary and saying prayers. It reminded me of the Italian women last year in volterra. Tears came to my eyes. It was possible that all of us will die.
