Edwards’s point of view (continued)

“Your right. Oh, god. The Volturi could have killed half the school by now. What if they got a hold of Bella?” I questioned fearfully.

“We just have to stop them before they do.” Emmett yelled to me. I nodded quickly.

“That’s if they do, though.” Emmett added. I stopped dead in my tracks. I swallowed hard as Alice came over to us. She was having a vision and was sharing it with me. Emmett skidded to a stop next to Alice, just as she and I were staring at each other.

The vision was of Bella lying on the floor of what looked like the cafeteria. This vision was the kind that was moving. I concentrated harder on what Alice was seeing. Bella scrambled to her feet-her eyes wide with fright. There around her were bodies and broken glass, there was broken medal and fire as well. She was bleeding on her forehead-but it wasn’t bad. More importantly was the people around her. All of the people were vampires in cloaks-gray cloaks. It was the Volturi. Jane was among them stepping over towards Bella. There was a glimpse of the cloak in the cafeteria as well-2:40pm.

The vision was gone. I shook my head as Alice was next to me.

“What did you both see?” Emmett asked us.

“What time is it?” I asked him-ignoring his question.

“Two o’clock. Why?” he asked. Alice caught her breath.

“That means we have only forty minutes to get down there before….before…they…hurt her.” she said.

“We need to get down there, now.” I yelled. Alice got her cell phone out and dialed Carlisle and Esme’s number-the house phone. All of the family should be there. They could get there quicker than us. We all broke into a run-I knew there was a chance that Bella may die. My angel-that was all I was thinking about.

Bella’s point of view…. (A/N: remember she fainted)

I felt something cold and wet on my forehead.

I eyes shot open, I was remembering where I was and what was going on. I sat up quickly. My vision was blurry for a second before it was back to normal. There were students and teachers all around me.

“Bella, are you alright?” mike asked. I wanted to say no-because mentally that was the truth. I knew what was going to come. Physically, though, that was different.

“Yeah, I think so.” I said anyway. He nodded. The group of students and teachers looked a little relived.

“I wonder why the police didn’t come yet?” someone asked out loud as I got to my feet. I knew the answer though-the high school was far away from the city, the phone lines were broken as well, and no one would think that something was wrong with the school anyway.

I walked around. It was now 2:05pm. I sighed. It was like I was trapped and just waiting for the time to come when my life would be over. It was like all of us were on our death beds. It was horrifying to just sit there waiting…..waiting for that moment when you would die.

I looked out the other set of windows this time. I would probably be sick if I saw all of those student’s bodies. I gulped and fought back a tear. I feel like all of this was my fault. If it wasn’t for me everyone would still be alive.

I looked out to where the parking lot would be. There was nothing there. I sighed. Still, I was waiting, just waiting.

I went back and sat on the floor. I held my head in my hands.

I heard punches to the school. It wasn’t on the doors but in the roof and walls. I shot my head up. Everyone froze. Everywhere there were dents. It was the Volturi. How could they, they were messing with us, making us even more frightened. I knew the time would come soon. I closed my eyes as tears streamed down my face.

I just sat there, eyes closed, and hearing the horrifying screams of other students. The time was near when everyone wouldn’t be screaming, and nobody would be moving. I just officially gave up hope. I now opened my eyes to see more people around me.

Everyone was huddled around each other in the middle of the cafeteria, just where I sat. There were even more dents in the building. No one knew what was going on-but me. I heard a loud ear splattering crunch. I whipped my head franticly to where it came from. There through the window was one of the Volturi member’s crushing a car in half and throwing it towards the school- towards me and others.

“Everyone, duck! Mind your heads and move out of the-” I didn’t have time to finish screaming my warning before the car was thrown through the cafeteria. It skidded on the ground with a screech. I and many other students ran the other way. Glass popped all over. I fell to the floor and tucked my knees under me. My face was looking to the ground as I covered my head. Then it rained glass pieces.

Any time now-it would be over…..
