The day passed in a blur. Mainly because my thoughts were occupied by thee one and only.

I wanted desperately to get to lunch so I could talk to my newly made friend and her family. They intrigued me, plus anything to get close to Carlisle.

Finally, the bell for fourth period rang and I sprang out of my seat, and almost ran through the halls in order to get my lunch and sit with Alice.

After I grabbed my small slice of pizza and purchased my lemonade, I entered the lunch shelter.

I spotted them immediately. They were sitting in the far south corner, all five of them, but an empty seat right next to Alice.

I sucked in a deep breath, attempting to steady my already racing heartbeat. I took my first clumsy step forward and walked the rest of my steps briskly.

They were awaiting my arrival, all of their sharp, honey eyes trained on me. Alice turned around in her seat and smiled, silently patting the seat next to her.

I approached quickly and courageously. I placed my tray on the table and sat next to Alice.

“Hi.” I squeaked to all the inhumanly beautiful people. A snicker came from the largest one. He had dark, curly hair and a bodybuilder’s muscles.

“Everyone, this is Bella.” Alice piped cautiously before addressing me.

“Bella, this is Jasper, she pointed to the tall, lean man sitting next to her, “Rosalie, the beautiful blondie, “Emmett”, the one that had snickered at me, “And Edward.” The one that sat silent.

I smiled at them, trying to erase the tense atmosphere.

“Nice to meet you.”

“Alice has told us about you.” Said a bass voice to my left. The man named Jasper. I took time to asses his features.

He was obviously tall. His legs were cramped under the table, while Alice’s legs barely touched the ground. His hair was longer than most, but it was dirty blonde. A mix of brown, red, and blonde in one. His sharp, curious eyes were waiting for an answer.

“I hope it’s all good.” I said sarcastically. It drew a chuckle from the large one, Emmett.

He too was tall, but where Jasper was leanly muscled, Emmett was straight up buff. His muscles looked as if they were going to burst out of the shirt. His dark curly hair fell straight into his angular features. His eyes were less almond shaped, they were larger and wider.

“You got something to say, Emmett?” I joked.

“Yeah, Bella. I do.” He pushed his face towards my direction.

I laughed and soon Alice joined in. So far, I was on a good foot with Emmett and Alice.

“So Jasper.” He straightened as soon as he heard his name, but kept his right arm firmly in place behind Alice’s shoulder.

“What do you want to do later in life?” What a stupid question.

He chuckled slightly, but then was abruptly serious. “I want to by a psychologist. Studying human emotions and minds is interesting.” His face showed no emotion.

Okay then.

I turned to the blonde one. Rosalie that was her name.

“How about you, Rosalie?” I asked innocently to the statuesque woman before me.

“I want to be a swimsuit model.” She said stiffly. Her eerie eyes glared daggers at me, but I could not help but be dumbstruck at her beauty. I could easily see her being a swimsuit model.

“Yeah, Rose is a beauty.” Emmett sighed.

She punched him, what seemed lightly, but the sound echoed through the whole cafeteria.

“Emmett, Rosalie, let’s not brawl now.” Jasper said in a growl.

“So Bella…” Alice started in her soprano voice.

“So Alice…” I mimicked, she only grimaced in my direction.

“I was wondering if this weekend, Saturday to be exact, you would like to go shopping with me!” She exclaimed.

“’Cause you know, I just love to shop, but no one ever comes with me unless I drag them along.” Alice said speedily.

“I’ll go.” I said waverly

“Okay, you can drive to my house and we’ll carpool!” She clapped her hands excitedly.

“Alice…” Jasper voiced his bass voice cutting through Alice’s giggles and laughter.

“Well, I’m not going. I always have to carry the bags. I’ve had to do that plenty of times with Miss Shopaholic over here.” Emmett said as he jerked a thick thumb towards Alice. Alice suddenly stopped clapping.

“Sorry, Alice, I’m not going either.” Jasper said as he shook his head.

“Rosalie?” Alice asked pitifully, her lip jutting out.

“Sorry, Alice, no game. Esme-“Everyone stiffened at the sound of Esme’s name.

“As I was saying.” She growled, her eyes burning holes into mine. “Esme, Edward, and I are going camping.”

“Fine.” Alice sighed, exasperated.

“I’ll just have to convince Carlisle to come. I don’t want to carry the bags and I don’t think Bella does either.” She shook her head sadly, but I could see a wicked smile on her face.

So I was going to go shopping with the man I had a strange fascination with. This could get interesting.
