Billy rolled into the room. “Hey kids, the funeral just ended, Charlie will be here in a few minutes.” “Jake, I invited him and Bella to join us for dinner I am going to order some pizza, so dinner will be ready in about 30 minutes, when it gets here obviously.”

“Okay Dad.” Jake responded while looking over sheepishly at me.

“Hi, Billy”, was the only stupid thing that would come out of my mouth. And I thought he was the only one that could leave me breathless and dazzled. I was wrong.

As soon as the door closed shut, I looked at Jake, who looked relieved that Billy had not stayed longer. He then looked nervous again, unlike the eagerness that filled his eyes before.

“What’s wrong?” I asked shyly.

“I went too far didn’t I? You can make some excuse and leave and not stay for dinner if you want to.” he said all at once slurring his statements into one long word.

“What are you talking about?” I was completely shocked if I hadn’t wanted Jake in that way then I would have asked him to stop. I would like to lie to myself and say that I would have asked us to stop before it had gotten too far but I wasn’t sure.

“I know that you don’t love me or like me that way.” “I just got carried away in the moment, I can see why you hate me” he said it with such sadness. “I know that you are still in love with that leech.”

I reached over to grab his hand. Although a piece of my heart still loved …Edward… and enjoyed the time that I had spent with him, I felt that I was ready although it hurt when I thought about it, eventually it would stop, and now not like before I knew that one day I would be okay. With my other hand I touched Jake’s chin and turned it slightly so he was looking at my face. “Let’s get some things out into the air.” “I like you a lot, I want to stay for dinner, No, you didn’t go too far, but I almost did. I do not hate you, and yes a small part me still loves him but it is not as big as the part that loves you Jacob.”

“You love me”, was his only response before he was on top of me pushing all the air out of my lungs.

The next few minutes whirled by. Lips crushing lips, his body was now only weighing lightly over mine, I didn’t mind it but it was obvious that he was holding himself up, and he was not wanting to things too go to far again. His hands were roaming everywhere up and down my sides, they stopped at my waist. His fingers traveling lightly under my shirt. Dancing and playing along the planes of my stomach resting above the waist to my jeans. The reoccurring need to be against him returned again. I was trying very hard to pull him against me again, and the few times I managed I noticed how much he was enjoying this. I was grinding upwards trying to close the gap between us when he grabbed my wrists and pinned them above my head. He broke off our kissing abruptly, both of us panting, gasping for air.

He smiled down upon me, “The pizza is here, as is Charlie. I believe that dating the Police Chief’s daughter could be dangerous especially in this position.” I giggled. “No giggling, how about we get some more things into the air later tonight?”

“Sure”, thinking that this was going to continue later made my cheeks flush again. “I’m hungry”, he grunted as he pulled me up. He wrapped his arms around me, “I’m hungry too, but I don’t think pizza is going to quite do it.” I pulled away walking out of his bedroom, looking back just in time to see him close his gaping mouth and see him blink his eyes that were still wide in shock.
