Alice POV

"Is Edward home yet?!" I shouted as I walked in the house.

"No, why," Esme asked.

"He's a dead man when I see him!"

"What happened," Carlisle asked.

"That girlfriend of his, that's what!"

I walked into the kitchen, grabbed a towel and some ice and put it on my hand while I waited for Edward to come home. Emotionally, I was exhausted. Spending three hours with Bella getting her to calm down is not the easiest thing to do these days. Plus everything I was planning on saying to Edward kept swirling around in my head. I knew there was no way Esme would have said such a thing. She loves Bella. We all do; even Edward.

"What did you do to your hand, love," Jasper asked.

"I punched her!"

"You punched Bella?!"

"No you idiot. I punched Tanya. She deserved it too. The things coming out of that girl's mouth...I just couldn't stop myself, Jasper."

"Alice, you shouldn't have done that."

"I don't care! You should have heard her, Jasper! She was being beyond mean. She was cruel. I don't care if Esme and Carlisle take my credit cards away from me as punishment either."

Jasper softly kissed my cheek, causing my heart to skip a beat, then looked at my hand.

"You should probably show that to Carlisle. It doesn't look right."

"I'll show him later. Where did I put my cell phone?"

"Who are you calling?"

"I'm calling Edward and telling him to get his butt home!"

"I've already done that," Carlisle said walking over to me.

"Thank you."

Carlisle looked over my hand. He said it was just a deep bruise, but that he didn't think I broke anything.

About an hour later, Edward returned home. Thankfully, he didn't bring Tanya with him.

"ALICE!" he shouted as he walked in.

"Yes?" I said calmly.

"Happy? You broke her nose!"

"Really? Bummer," I said chuckling.

"It's not funny, Alice. You know she was looking forward to the winter formal!"

"Maybe she can get a dress to match the color in her face, but I don't think purple is her color."

"Edward, have a seat," Carlisle said.

"Why? Please don't tell me we need to talk...again."

"Yes, but it's about Tanya. You are not going to see her again."

"WHY!?"

"Do yo have any idea what she said to Bella and how long it too me to calm her down," I asked.

"What did she say?"

I spent the next twenty minuted telling Edward and the rest of my family what went down in the school. Everyone sat in shock.

"How dare you, Edward. We've raised you better than this," Esme said.

"I never said those things," Edward calmly said.

"Edward, you're my brother and I love you, but seriously, stop all this crap with Tanya. She's only adding fuel to the fire," Emmett said.

"What happened between the two of you," Esme asked.

"Esme, she.. she cheated."

"SHE DID NOT CHEAT ON YOU! I was with her the whole time," I said. "James only started that rumor to get you mad."

"Besides, you know Bella would never do that. She loves you too much," Rosalie said.

"She still does, even though right now she hates you," I said.

"It's only a matter of weeks now before those babies come. She's keeping them, you know," Carlisle said.

"What?"

"I talked to Charlie this morning. He's going to help her with them, as well as Renee and Phil.”

"So she gets to decide without me?"

"When was the last time the two of you talked? Really talked?"

Edward didn't answer and no one moved until the doorbell rang. Carlisle answered and returned with Bella in tow.

"Hey Bella! What are you doing here?"

"You left this at the house," she said handing me my cell phone.

"Thanks. I was wondering where that went."

"No problem. Well, I'll see you tomorrow."

Bella turned to leave.

"Bella, wait," Edward said.

"Edward, I'm really not in the mood at the moment. I'm tired, my back and feet hurt and I need to get back to the house."

"Please," he asked again.

"What," she asked as she turned.

"Are you really keeping them?"

"I've thought about it. Why?"

"Just..wondering."

"Right. You're wondering if you'll be able to go to Chicago, right? Wondering how this is going to screw up your perfect little life? Well don't worry about it, I've got it covered. I'll call you when they're born," she said.

When Bella turned again to walk out, she fainted.

"BELLA!" everyone cried.

"Esme, call an ambulance. Do you see now?" Carlisle asked "Do you see how real all of this is?"

"I'm.. I'm sorry Carlisle."

"Don't apologize to me, Edward."

An hour later we were all sitting in the waiting room at the hospital. Edward was shaking in his chair while Carlisle sat and glared at him. We all hoped this put the fear of God into him to make him realize that this isn't a joke anymore. But, time would tell on that.

"Go talk to him," Jasper whispered to me.

"What am I supposed to say?"

"Anything. Just get him to calm down. You know he only listens to you when he's like this."

I stood and went to sit next to Edward.

"You okay," I asked him.

His cell phone was buzzing, but he didn't answer. I picked it up from the table, only to find several text messages from Tanya.

"Are you going to answer them?"

"No," Edward said quietly.

"Why not?"

"Because I'm thinking."

"About?"

"Everything."

"Good. It's about time."

Just then, Charlie walked in.

"How is she," Esme asked.

"Fine. Her sugar was just low. They're going to do an ultrasound just to make sure the babies are alright."

"Can she have visitors," Edward asked.

Charlie glared at him, then gave a heavy sigh.

"Yes."

"Is it alright if I go talk to her?"

"Are you sure that's a good idea, Ed," Emmett asked.

"Why don't you wait until she's home and feeling better," Esme asked.

"Because I need to talk to her, now. I promise I'll be nice."

"Fine. She's in the third room on the left."
