Hidden Feelings

What if Edward wasn't the only one who loved Bella? What if someone hid their feelings for her. What if they stopped her jumping? What if they were taken?

Ok, this is twilight and new moon combined. From the point of view of Jasper.

Edward looked at me dumbfounded. He hadn’t realized that I knew about that. Then Bella spoke up.

“I’m sick of this. More secrets, more lies! Why will no one ever tell me what’s going on? Even you Jasper, you never told me how you felt. If you had, we could have saved all this trouble”

“I’m sorry Bella,” I said. Edward repeated it, apologizing for his own mistake.

“Both of you go”

“Bella” Edward said.

“Bella?” I asked.

“Go! Now! Just go!” she cried. We did as we were told. I headed to the house. Then Edward really let rip.

“I can’t believe you Jasper. My soul mate! And Alice too! What were you thinking?”

“You’ve hurt Bella before. I fixed her and if you don’t like it, tough!” I yelled. We were in the forest with no danger of a human overhearing. He growled and swung out at me. I blocked him and jumped on him. He fought back, biting and hitting. Our roars echoed round the trees.

“Boys!” Esme said, from next to us. Neither of us stopped.

“Edward! Jasper! Stop it,” said Alice. We still didn’t. Emmett’s body hit us as he jumped in to pries us apart.

“ENOUGH!” shouted Carlisle “Both of you stop it! You’re behaving like animals!” Emmett propelled me across the forest, into a tree (knocking it down at the same time) and did the same with Edward in the opposite direction. I leapt up and so did Edward but Rosalie and Alice grabbed me while Emmett and Carlisle seized Edward.

“What are you two doing?” He yelled.

“FIGHTING!” we roared.

“Jasper’s been sleeping with Bella and I want to kill him,” Edward yelled at the same time I yelled, “It’s not my fault that I love her! At least I’ve never hurt her like you!”

“Stop! One at a time!” said Carlisle “Edward, what did you say?” Edward pulled away from his restrainers and glared at me.

“Jasper’s been sleeping with Bella,” he said. There were gasps. I pulled away from Alice and Rosalie.

“I love her Edward. I can’t help that. Can’t you understand? She needed someone to help her, make her human again. You hurt her so badly that night,” I said it quietly, sorrow through my voice.

“What did you say to her Edward? What did you do?”

“I told her I didn’t love her. I said she wasn’t right for me,” he muttered. Then Alice gasped. Edward froze as we all turned to her. She was having a vision. Edward started to run.

“BELLA!” He cried. We followed him. He reached the Quileute boundary line but he kept running.

“Stop!” yelled a person. It was one of the wolves. Jacob

“We can’t! It’s Bella!” yelled Edward. Jacob froze and started to run too. Then Edward stopped abruptly and I bumped into him. I saw what he had. Bella perched on the cliff, her toes wrapped around the edge of the rocky ledge.

“Bella…don’t do this,” said Edward. He took a step closer.

“Don’t come near me!” she yelled, “Stay away from me”

“Bella think of Charlie, and Renee. Don’t do this” Carlisle said. She bowed her head.

“Bella honey. We all love you, don’t jump” Esme tried. She raised her head and rain began to fall. She looked as though she might relent and not jump. Edward took a step closer.

“Bella I love you. When I lied to you in the forest, it hurt but you needed to be safe. But I see that I was just putting you into even more danger” she nodded, tears flowing down her pale, wind bitten cheeks. He took another step closer.

“Bella, he means it. And I would never agree with a leech unless it was true. I love you too, and so do the rest of them. Believe him, come back” Jacob said. Edward was next to her.

“Bella, sweetie, come on” he held out a hand. She put her hand in his for a moment.

“I’m sorry,” she whispered. Then she jumped.

“NO!” Yelled Edward as Bella hurtled over the edge towards the black water beneath. Her body was tossed about in the wind like a rag doll as she fell. Her final leap. She had kept her thoughts secret, her feelings hidden, even from me.
