Chapter 8: The Sparkling Angels

Alice had invited me to her house on many occasions. This time I to begged my Mom and Dad to let me go to her house. “Please!”

“Ok Bella, you may go. We’ll drop you off today.” I was too happy. I hugged them, and started jumping up and down. I probably looked like Alice right now, but I didn't care. I had wanted to go to her big house for I really long time.

“Thanks Mommy thanks Daddy! You guys are the best!”

“Promise you’ll behave.” I nodded, and gave them the biggest smiled I could.

“Okay then, let us head out.”

I could not wait until I went to Alice’s house. I am kind of nervous though. I don’t think her sister, Rosalie likes me much, and I am still upset about what happened with Jake on Valentine’s Day. I haven’t seen him this whole weekend. I probably will on Monday. The ride was long, so I took a little nap. Mom woke me up a while later.

“We are here Bella.”

“We are at Alice’s?” I said yawning and stretching my arms.

“Yes, Kiddo.” Dad replied.

I was still sort of sleepy, but when Mom helped me out of the car, I couldn't help but notice the place. It was just what Alice described it to be. It was huge, maybe five times bigger than my own house, and the front yard was cover with the most gorgeous flowers I had ever seen. One of the many kinds that showed the path to the entrance of the house caught my attention. I didn’t know what they were called, but they were the prettiest. I like how the yellow one stood out more than the white. Maybe, because it was placed in the middle and it was an only one. Poor yellow flower. It looked so lonely there. I was too occupied looking at the flowers to notice that Mrs. Cullen was standing at the door, greeting my parents.

“Bella sweetie, you look so adorable today. Oh, please come in.” I was holding to my mother’s hand and staring at the flower. I really wanted to touch it; smell it; know what it was called.

And as if she read my mind. Mrs. Cullen bent down to get the yellow flower from the center of all the white ones. “Here,” she said with a big smile and handed me the flower. I smiled back and took it. As soon as I had my hand around the stem, I lifted it up to my nose to take in the smell. It smelled like vanilla, strawberry, and chocolate. “I notice you like the smell of Freesia. They have the sweetest aroma.” I shook my head, and smiled again.

We walked in, my hands still holding the yellow Freesia, and smelling it. “The kids will be down soon.” Mrs. Cullen informed me. And that’s when Alice appeared.

“BEEELLAAA!” she squealed. “Your here! I have so manythingstoshowyoutoday!” I had barely enough time to make out what she just told me, when she took my hand and dragged me up the stairs. “I’m so excited! Where should we start?” she asked herself. “Well, let’s start with my room first...Rose’s, then Jazz’s...” We finally got to her room and she let my hand go.

“Wow Alice, Your room is...”

Amazing, I know!” We both giggled.

Her room was decorated in everything Barbie. Who would have guessed? Barbie dolls all pilled neatly inside the Barbie dream house in one corner of her room. The walls of her room where completely purple and covered with different shade of pink, white, orange, and green polka-dots. Her bed was huge for someone her height. On the left side of the room she had what looked like a purple Barbie beauty studio, and had Alice’s Beauty Studio printed across the front in gold ink. The floor…well, do I need to say more? The room was beautiful. Now I know she wasn’t kidding when she declared that her favorite color was purple.

“You have plenty of time to look around, but I want to show you the house first.”

“Alice, I’m only staying for a while. I couldn’t persuade them to let me sleep over.”

“You will, promise.” Whenever she said ‘promise’ I believed her. I nodded, and walked behind her.

“Here is Rose’s room.” Her room wasn’t covered in one color like Alice’s. It had pink and white stripes. She also had her own little studio. I wondered if the guys have one too. Just thinking about that made me giggle. Next was Jasper’s room. His room’s walls were painted green. Around the room you could see he was into cowboy stuff. Emmett’s room was decorated with a lot of sports posters, and he had his own little basketball hoop. The last room Alice showed me was Edward's. His walls were gold, not blue like I thought it would be. On the opposite side of the couch was a guitar.

“I didn’t know Edward that knew how to play guitar.”

“That’s not the only instrument he knows how to play.” Alice confided.

“Really?” I was amazed. “Wow, I didn’t know”

“There are many things you don’t know about us Bella.” I looked at her quizzically as she continued, “But, you will soon promise.”

“If you say so, Alice. So, where are the others?” I thought I would have seen them by now. “Oh! They are all waiting for us out in the backyard. They wanted to surprise you...but I guess I just ruined it.”

“Don’t worry, I’ll act surprised.”

“You would?” I nodded. “Great!”

We were on our way outside when she stood frozen still. “Alice, are you ok? Alice? Alice!”

Um Bella, you remember how I told you that you will soon find out more about us?” She questioned quietly.

“Yeah…” Where was she going with this?

“Well, today is that day. Don’t worry, everything will be fine.”

Before we started walking, I heard my dad’s voice. “Bells, your mom and I decided you can stay. Just for tonight kiddo. All right? We’ll pick you up first thing in the morning.”

“Okay dad!” I was so excited. I was going to spend the entire day with one of my best friends. What else can a girl ask for?

“Thanks! Mr. Swan.” Alice shouted, and pulled me to the exit.

“Take care sweetheart...” was the last thing I heard. I was already outside.

“Bells!” Emmett shouted. “We were about to go look for you.” He gave me a big bear hug. I probably turned blue, because he squished all the air out of me. “Oops, sorry Bells.”

After getting all the air I needed I said, “So what is the surprise?”

“What surprise?” Jasper, Emmett, Rose and Edward asked at the same time.

Alice just smiled and replied, “You’ll see” The sun made its way through the clouds and I smiled. I love the sun. I closed my eyes to take in the heat of the sun. When I looked back down, the sight almost made me fall on my knees. I saw angels. Sparkly angels. Angels shaped in the form of the Alice, Jasper, Emmett, Rosalie, and Edward.
