It's the summer after New Moon and everything is finally back to normal for Bella and the Cullens (as normal as it can get that is). Atleast it was until one day Bella collapses and then wakes up seeing aura's. Will an old family member of her's be able to sort all this out? And just how many secrets does the Swan family have?
All right so lets pretend that that instead of Bella turning down Edwards proposal (would you have? Didnt think so) she agreed. Don't worry you'll find out why later on. Bella and Edward have been spending the first few weeks of summer together to rebuild their relationship as well. I'm not real sure how long this will be but I all ready have a few more chapters done. Without further ado read on!

Maybe I should rethink the not crazy thing.
“See you all think I’m nuts right?” Bella asked laughing.
“Not crazy…just, confused?” Alice tried to reassure her, while unsuccessfully stifling her giggles. I looked back to Bella, and asked
“Do you think you could um…explain what you mean when you say you see these…?
“Lights” she offered. I nodded still wary.
“Well…basically you all have this soft glow or light surrounding you. It is kinda cool I guess because each one is a different color.” She finished thoughtfully.
I wonder if she’s seeing auras. Carlisle was sifting through possible reasons she would see these…lights.
“Could tell us what color everyone has?” Carlisle asked curiously. Bella looked at each of us nervously, but nodded.
“um…well Esme you have a really pretty light blue color, Alice has a yellow one, Emmett’s is orange, Rosalie red, Jasper, well actually you have two, first tan then this dark green color around it. Carlisle you have a violet color…and Edward … you have a tan one tight to your body and then a faint red around that.” She finished telling us our colors before Alice piped up
“What about you Bella? What color do you have?” Bella looked down to her hand and answered
“It’s uh tan with blue around the edges.” She said blushing; I put an arm around her shoulders and squeezed her slightly. She sighed and looked up to Carlisle
“So, do I have an appointment at a mental institution or what?” Everyone chuckled but Carlisle answered
“No I don’t think so Bella, each color you described seems to fit everyone’s character. I wouldn’t worry about it.” He said reassuringly but then I heard Jasper
He’s not telling everything Edward, he’s feeling worry and … curiosity. I don’t know what’s going on, but something is. He’s extremely anxious. He looked to me warning with his eyes. I nodded stiffly but turned my attention to Bella when she began to ask a question
“What were you guys talking about before though, something about my scent?” She looked around curiously. Carlisle cleared his throat and answered
“It seems that for some reason your scent…no longer causes a burn in our throats. In fact it seems to soothe it. It’s a very nice change.” He finished smiling warmly at her. She blushed but asked
“So none of you feel the need to yea know…feed, at all? Not even you guys?” She looked between me and Jasper.
“Nope, you still smell just as wonderful and … delicious as before but its more…more of a perfume you could say. It’s there, it’s enjoyable but it doesn’t mean I want to drain you.” I informed her. She looked shocked…and relieved. Suddenly a slow grin graced her face.
“So…I can be close to all of you?” I nodded. She widened her grin and hopped off the table and opened her arms wide, looking at Jasper.
“Come here!” She yelled before she went after him. Alice giggled and I chuckled along with everyone else. Jasper was momentarily staggered but laughed and hugged back.
Oh yes much better, I can finally be around my sister without wanting to clamp down and suck her dry. I glowered at him but he just shrugged sheepishly as Bella let go and walked back over to me, wrapping her arms around me.
“Thank-you Jasper I have wanted to do that for a very long time.” She said in a satisfied tone. He just chuckled and smiled to her.
“So anyway…what do you think is going on?” She asked Carlisle.
“I’m not sure but I do have a – a theory of sorts. If you’ll excuse me I have some research to do.” He nodded and headed up to his office thinking
Father’s side…could Enid? Ireland…
Well that was thoroughly confusing and told me nothing. He was hiding something from me.
I turned to Bella, aware how she was probably tired from her fainting spell and asked
“You want to go home? I’m sure you’re tired.” She nodded and got up to go grab her bag from the living room. As soon as she left the room Alice snatched at the opportunity and ran outside.
“Alice what on earth are you doing?” I asked, knowing she could still me.
Edward don’t you dare try to go against me, I bought her the cutest little corduroy tan pencil skirt and she is going to wear it!
She told me, I saw her cross the front yard over to my car and load the trunk with all eight bags from shopping. She closed the lid sharply and skipped back inside with a smug grin to be met by her husband, an amused smile on his face.
“She’s not going to appreciate this you know.” I called to her over my shoulder.
“Yes she will, in due time!” She trilled back. I shook my head chuckling, I heard Bella walk up next to me. I looked to her and saw her eyebrow lifted, a slight smirk on her mouth
“Maybe I’m not the only one who needs to go to the loony bin.” She said grabbing my hand. I heard Emmett snicker from upstairs but chose to ignore it. I pulled her to the car; I don’t think it would be a good idea for her to be running, well to be with me when I run, after she just fainted. I opened the door to her than ran to the other side. I heard her sigh; I looked to find her head resting against the window looking at the tiny droplets of water roll down it.
“What’s wrong?” I asked worriedly, rubbing circles on her hand. She turned her head and smiled at me
“Nothing just thinking…ugh! Why can’t I live a peaceful life with my vampire fiancée, and his vampire family! No I have to hit my head and see these freaky aura things.” I smiled at her
“Oh my poor Bella.” I gently mocked at her. She scowled but chuckled. We pulled up to her house; I got out and helped her out before pulling her in with me, I lay down on the couch and I pulled her on top of me. She rested her hands on my chest, palms down and set her chin on them. I smiled slightly at the image that came to mind. She narrowed her eyes and cocked her head
“What? What’s that smile for?” She asked.
“Just a picture that popped in my head; you look just like a little brown field sparrow when you look like that.” She giggled and asked
“Should I take that as a compliment then?” I nodded “Of course, sparrows are adorable, inquisitive, stubborn little things.” I finished touching the end of her nose with a kiss. She smiled and sighed.
“What’s the matter now?”
“Nothing…I just…do you ever wish we could have one moment of peace? On little pocket of time where something isn’t going wrong, or being turned upside down?” I frowned, did she regret being with me because of all the trials we had to go through? I would understand of course, I was a vampire and could hardly take all the stress; she was a human they barely handle midterms.
“Are you rethinking your being with me?” I asked softly, afraid of the answer. Her doe eyes widened and her mouth popped open
“No, no of course not don’t think such a silly thing! I just meant that I wish we had time where nothing was going on and we could just be…together. You know, not having to worry about who’s coming after us next, what new and strange thing is going to happen…worst of all not who is going to try and kill themselves.” She said tiredly looking at me. I grinned “Yea…sorry about that. Swear it won’t happen again.” I tried to amend. She just sighed and rolled her eyes.
“Oh and I thought I was a lamb, not a sparrow.” She said slyly. I laughed and said
“How about both” I asked smiling. She shrugged and kissed me on the cheek
“Whatever you like Edward, whatever you like.” She finished smiling.
I pulled her closer to me, tucking a strand of her silken hair behind her ear and kissed her cheek. I trailed them down to the side of her face to her mouth enjoying the heated skin from her blush. I kissed her softly, lovingly and she reciprocated. Oh how I adored this woman, she was what completed me. She filled the missing part of me; sure I was happy content before her.
I felt like I had all I needed. But being the only bachelor in a house full of couples you start to realize just how much you don’t have. I saw in my brothers and fathers mind everyday how… jubilant they were with their mates. And in turn I saw how they could quickly drown in depression if they weren’t with them. I finally knew just how that felt, when I was separated from Bella I wasn’t whole, like I said; she completed me.
I was so caught up in our own little world that I didn’t hear or sense anything else. I didn’t even hear their footsteps as they burst through the front door.
