Dreaming.
Strange cities, people.
Beaches, desert islands.
Harmony
Past or future.
Present.
Tasha and Catkin’s muffled voices, arguing.
I sighed as I pulled myself out of my dream and tugged my hood off my head.
“-Were still at the airport!” Catkin snapped impatiently.
“Oh yeah we are” Tasha was, bored. Better lighten the mood.
“God Tash, I thought you where supposed to be good at travelling.” I said sleepily.
"I am good! I just don't like waiting" Tash insisted
"We wouldn't have to wait if we hadn't missed the plane with the others"
Oh good lord! Lardy, Coffee, CAKE! (I make a point of not swearing, so instead say many things of no relation.) They where probably glaring at each other now.
I didn’t bother checking.
Instead I let them carry on with their glaring match for a minuet before playing peacemaker and suggesting we put our bags onto the plane.
Nodding grudgingly they both put their arguments to one side and their bags in front.
Thinking back I guess we must have looked pretty odd.
Catkin leading the way as she always does when she’s being huffy and scary; Tasha pushing her trolley with a big pink blob of a kayak; and me in typical gear of skinny jeans and hoodey looking and feeling incredibly paranoid.
“Taaaash? They’re all looking at us…” I look around. I never like crowds especially when they all look at you. Tash muttered something to me and grinned manically at passing people.
I sighed, again.
Well might as well add to the Looney parade!
I grinned manically to mach Tasha and said in a reasonably loud voice.
“Can we eat them?”
I wonder why I said that…
It worked though and soon Tash and me had plenty of room to walk.
Finally Tasha and I caught up to the infuriated Catkin, to find her fury-less.
I let my mind drift off a bit, while Tash and Cat decided where we’re going.
Catkin says something sounding like a question. I didn’t listen, so I just nodded instead.
****
Security was fun!
So many strange machines beeped when I went near them.
The beeping woke me up properly, so I was feeling cheerful and bouncy when I got out; seeing Tasha and Catkin, I grinned and began to plan my attack….
“Tatashie!” I screamed jumping on Tasha, causing her to collapse under my hug. Interesting things should always be started with something seemingly innocent.
“Look what Catkins trying to hide from us!” I point at Catkin who is trying to block a particular shop from our view. Moonsugar. This would defiantly make our trip more interesting.
***
Catkin got the window seat, which was a pity because she was wasting it.
Se wasn’t even looking out.
Tasha nicked the aisle seat, leaving me wedged between the two of them.
I sighed as we took off.
Picking up one of my moon sugar packets, I tipped the contents into my mouth; hoping it could still make me forget where I was and what I was doing.
It worked.
**
My brain managed to work again.
I had taken enough moonsugar to remember what’s happening only once!
Something was wrong.
Catkin had that look again.
So just as we left the plane I decided it was time I took one more tube.
Anything I said wouldn’t be helpful at this point, may as well forget it.

Thinking. Tricky stuff.
Rational thinking… well lets just say I’ve not managed it recently.
Moonsugar doesn’t help.
I’m thinking now and I have a vague idea of what’s happening.
Tasha is yelling.
It’s scary.
Catkins staring.
Also scary.
I’m hungry.
Swinging my head around I notice a small shop smelling of food.
Pulling on Catkin’s sleeve I rub my stomach and point at the shop.
Cat agrees and we head over.
She staring at some boys… I wonder…
