Notes:
I don't own these characters except for Roxanna, Rhiannon and Shannon. Roxanna's father is partly property of bram stoker and partly property of my imagination. The rest are Stephenie Meyers and i'm seriously annoyed about that. This is not based on the song Rebel without a clue

I was back in my room, staring at the ceiling. I had unburdened myself to a stranger who may think I’m mad. My phone rang.

“Hello?”

“Hi. Roxie?”

“Yes. Who is this?” I had a suspicion that I knew.

“It’s Edward Cullen. I need to talk to you”

“Okay”

“Can you meet me by the school?”

“Sure” strange meeting place. It was a Saturday so it would be empty. Still…unusual.

“Five minutes?”

“Okay” he hung up. I headed downstairs to ask for a lift.

“Umm. Karen can I have a lift?”

“Sorry honey. I’m off out. Mike could though”

“I’ll walk” I walked up the road to the school. Edward was leaning against the wall.

“Hi” I said. He stared at me.

“Roxie. I’m sorry”

“Why?”

“You don’t remember me, do you?”

“Of course. You live in Forks, dating Bella etc. that’s all I should know” he shook his head.

“You’ve forgotten it all. You worked so hard to forget it, to forget me. You have to remember” I was confused.

“What are you talking about?” he looked at me. I blinked. Then he shoved his lips on mine. Hard and cold. I pushed him off. Not that he wasn’t nice or anything, but Bella was my first real friend in ages and Edward was her boyfriend. I wasn’t going to hurt her.

“What are you doing?”

“Reminding you of who you are. You’ve worked so hard to forget things; you’ve forgotten who you are!”

“What are you talking about?!” I yelled.

“This isn’t you Roxie! You aren’t this person!”

“How do you know who I am? You are nothing to me! Leave me alone!” I slapped him hard. Then I walked off. I heard him laughing.

****Flashback****

“Breathe!” a voice, poetical even when shouting. A face, blurry and distorted to my eyes. I closed my eyes again. I felt cold lips on mine. Air being forced into my lungs. I opened my eyes. Golden eyes stared back at me. I didn’t want to fight, just give up, and surrender to the darkness.

“No! Don’t you dare Roxie! Don’t you dare give up?” My name. It pulled me out of the darkness. The next thing, I felt like I was flying. There were cold arms around me, protecting me.

“What do we do?” he asked.

“It’ll be fine. She’s going to be fine” a calm voice. As beautiful as the other.

“It’s all my fault”

“No. they would have taken her anyway”

“But I could have tried to stop them!”

“I could have. She’ll never forgive me for this”

“She doesn’t have to now. She’s strong. She’ll survive. We can leave; she’ll get on with her life”

“I don’t want to leave her”

“She doesn’t know how you feel. That you watch over her. She doesn’t have to now about us” my eyes opened. If my savior was leaving, I was determined to see his face one last time. My angel. I looked around for him. He was standing against a wall. I opened my mouth to utter one word before unconsciousness claimed me.

“Edward”
