Notes:
I don't own these characters except for Roxanna, Rhiannon and Shannon. Roxanna's father is partly property of bram stoker and partly property of my imagination. The rest are Stephenie Meyers and i'm seriously annoyed about that. This is not based on the song Rebel without a clue

“I’m fine. Considering”

“Considering the fact that Edward reminded you of a past you were trying to forget?”

“Exactly”

“I’m interested to hear how he reminded you”

“Oh. So he hasn’t told you about…”

“Can we focus on what we’re doing? Please?” he interrupted.

“Fine. What are we doing?”

“Carlisle, you remember Roxie’s sister, Rhiannon, don’t you?”

“Oh yes. Long brown hair, braided. Dark, chocolate brown eyes. I treated her for a broken wrist once”

“She disappeared,” I said.

“Do you remember Shannon and her coven?” Edward asked.

“Yes. How could I forget?”
“Wait, who’s Shannon?” Edward and Carlisle exchanged glances.

“Roxanna, there’s something you don’t know about us. We’re vampires”

“WHAT?!” I yelled, jumping to my feet.

“Calm down”

“I will not calm down! You brought me here like a bottle of wine to a party!”

“No, I brought you here to explain what happened to your sister”

“Why should I trust you?”

“Because, if you don’t. Oh nuts, I can’t come up with anything!” said Edward.

“Just, please, trust us. We can tell you what happened to Rhiannon. We might even be able to help you find her” I sat down, but in a way that meant I could jump up at any minute. Not that that would do me much good.

“When we were at your school, there was another group in the area. Shannon was the leader. She got a bit annoyed at us being there. But, anyway, the thing about Shannon is she’s like a collector. She collects people that are, skilled, rare, something special”

“Your sister was special. She was beautiful. That’s why Shannon took her”

“Is she still alive?”

“Probably, but not in the human way. Shannon will most likely have turned her into a vampire”

“So my sister’s a monster?”

“Yes” Edward said.

“Is that it? Did they take her because you were there?”

“No, they would have taken her anyway” said Carlisle.

“Why didn’t they go for me?”

“We don’t know”

Edward’s point of view

“We don’t know” I said. It was a shame to lie to her. If she didn’t know how I felt for her, then I wasn’t going to say it. Shannon didn’t take her because I was there. Because the night her sister disappeared I was watching over her, protecting her.

Edward. Are you going to tell her the truth? Carlisle thought. No. I wasn’t. Life was complicated enough. When I met Roxie, I felt like my life was perfect. When I had to leave her, I never thought I’d feel that way again. Then I met Bella and my life was perfect again. I never thought I’d see Roxie again. She didn’t need to know. But I was going to do one thing for her. I was going to find Rhiannon and kill Shannon. Sure, she was hard to find but I would do it. For Roxie. And her family. Ever since I had left, her life had been torment. She had changed from the girl I had known and loved, to this. This wasn’t her and as well as finding Rhiannon, I was going to make her see that this wasn’t her.
