I walked down the gloomy shores of La Push beach, taking little bites of an apple I had brought. Leah had come with me.

"Leah... Have you ever thought about... Well... Er... Imprinting?" I asked, tossing her a ham sandwich.

"Not really. I think it's just what humans naturally do. You know, love at first sight?" she said plainly, her face expressionless.

I laughed a little. "That's what I thought too."

"It'll never happen to me, Jacob, so please, shut up."

Then we walked along the shores in silence.

After a few minutes that felt like hours, she spoke up.

"Can we go to the Cullen's house? I really want to check up on Bella."

"You hate Bella."

"Silly Jacob!" she messed with my hair, my face holding a wild expression.

Despite what I had said, she skipped towards her car. I sighed, and giving in, followed her.

"Hello, Jacob" said Edward in an annoyed tone.

"Whatever Carlisle told you about Bella's baby, I didn't sleep with her."

He stared at me, his eyebrows closely knitted together.

"I know Jacob. But it's your fault that we got into this wolf mess. You imprinting on my daughter must have gotten some sort of strange effect on Bella and her... Insides."

I snorted. "So where's Renesmee?"

Just as I finished saying that, Nessie gracefully walked down the stairs. She as wearing a purple silky dress, and standing in strappy silver high heels. She reached her hand out to me. But I was too stunned to move.

Edward gave me a disapproving look, probably hearing my explicit thoughts.

"Y-y-you look amaz-z-ing N-n-nessie" I managed to choke out.

She looked at me as if I had a gigantic pimple on my face.

"Jacob! Clean yourself up! Get some better clothes on! Ugh!" she said, wiping sweat off my brow and dusting my shirt off.

"For what?" I asked, still thinking some odd thoughts.

"We're going out to dinner tonight. Remember?" she stared at me, bewildered.

"Not really."

"Jake you promised!" she said. Tears were starting to bunch up in her eyes.

"Sorry Nessie. I made plans with the pack tonight. I just came here to-"

Renesmee interupted me. "So the pack's more important than me?"

"Yeah."

She narrowed her eyes at me and then started to cry. She stomped upstairs, whipping off her strappy shoes.

Edward gave e a dirty look, and called Bella down. She had probably already seen Nessie crying.

"Leave. Now." he spat.

"But I-"

Bella came stomping down the stairs.

"GET OUT JACOB!" she yelled.

I ran towards the door, and once I was out, I phased into my russet wolf form.

I needed to run.

To get away.

To take time to regret what I did that would probably effect my life.

So I did.

I ran.

EDWARD'S POV

"Nessie, open this door right now young lady." I said to her the crying Renesmee, locked in her room.

"Go away dad! I don't want anybody right now!"

"I will not go away Renesmee Carlie Cullen."

She sobbed some more. "Thnaks for making hell on earth even worse!" she screamed.

I sighed and leaned against the wall. She's a teenager. That's what teenagers do. I thought to myself. I could break the door down easily, but I decided I wanted to be a normal dad right now.

I flipped open my cell phone, only to see that Jacob was calling.

"Hello, Jacob."

"Edward Edward can I please talk to Nessie?"

"No, Jacob."

"Can you send her my love and forgiveness?"

"No, Jacob."

He sounded like he was getting annoyed.

"Just tell her that I'm going. Far away, So she won't have to deal with me."

I was about to say something, but he had already hung up.

I heard the door click open, and saw Nessie on her bead, covered in sheets, still sobbing. Her cheeks were streaked with black lines, probably from the mascara.

"Are you okay, Ness?" I asked, sitting down on the bed.

"No. Jacob's running away, he hates me, and my life is living hell."

"He doesn't hate you."

"I knew you were going to pull this stuff on me." she said, storming out of the room.

I know she would regret making Jacob run away, someday she surely would.

She loved Jacob.

He loved her.

She would regret it soon.

I hope.
