Notes:
I know, i'm so evil. I left everyone on a total cliffie at the end of the last story. But, i think i'm entitled considering that only two people reviewed. they reviewed more then once but still, two people! That really is pathetic! I need more reviews to fuel my creativity. If i don't on this story i will stop on a cliffie and not update any more.

I phased back. How had I not heard the key in the lock?

“I’m sorry ma’am. It was an accident. I can’t control it, you see. It just happened”

“Why didn’t you turn back?”

“I was trying miss. It’s hard” I tried to seem meek. With Demetri, I was defiant (unless Caius was around), with Caius, I was submissive. Normally I would just be a silent servant around Heidi but in this situation meek and mild seemed best.

“Well, get dressed then come to my chamber. I have a job for you,” she ordered before leaving. I did and walked slowly to Heidi’s chamber.

“Where are you off to?” Demetri called and I turned to see him leaning against his doorframe.

“Miss Heidi wanted me to do something for her” I added a tone to the miss.

“Hmm. Well as soon as you’re done there, I want you to get me some lunch”

“It’s one in the morning,” I said.

“Fine, some breakfast. Or should it be a midnight snack. And none of that bottled rubbish either. I want fresh brought straight to my room. Breakfast in bed!”

“I’m not allowed to leave the building”

“Since when do you follow the rules? Anyway, I never said to leave the building” my heart skipped a beat.

“I want you to bring one of the prisoners. Not those shape shifters! They’re just disgusting! I think I fancy that woman. Yes, I fancy something sweet today”

“But…but…” I struggled to find an excuse “she’s related to the wolves. She’ll probably taste the same!” he contemplated this.

“Fine, get an outsider. Oh, and get something for yourself!” he laughed and shut his door. I went to Heidi’s room.

“What took you so long?” she complained.

“Sorry miss. Master Demetri wanted to talk to me” she scowled and sat down at her dressing table. I knew what she wanted me to do.

“What party are you going to tonight Miss Heidi, if I might be so bold?” I didn’t know if people actually said that but when I had been with the Cullen’s I saw it on Pirates of the Caribbean. One of the servants had said something like it.

“Oh, I’m going to a nightclub! It’s just opened. I know it’s a human thing, but maybe I’ll meet someone nice,” she laughed. “It opened at ten but I figured I should wait until one when all the boys are just getting ready to leave” I finished styling her hair and helped her into her dress. It was clingy, short and crimson. She had dark makeup on. She looked incredibly beautiful. And also, rather scary. She nodded.

“Well then. See you later!” she said, smiled and walked out. I walked back down the corridor.

“Hello again Cadyna. Third time today! That must be a record!” said Demetri. I turned.

“I’ve been thinking about that woman. I’ve decided I want a sample of her blood! If it’s delicious, you need to bring her to me. If it’s dog blood, I have another idea. And let me warn you, if you try to trick me, you may not like the alternative” he gestured for me to go, handing me a cup and a knife before I left. I went down to the dungeon and over to Sue. She was asleep but as I approached, she woke up.

“What is it? What do you want?”

“I’m not with them. I’m a slave. I was ordered to get some of your blood for one of them to taste…but I don’t want to” I said. She glared at me. Then I had a brainwave. There were five werewolves. I knew you could normally tell the difference between male and female blood, but could you with wolves? I had no idea what Demetri’s idea was but I wasn’t going to let him kill Sue. No one should suffer that. I recognized the wolves, Collin and Brady. The other three were about a year younger and I didn’t know them.

“I need to ask a favour of one of you. I need to cut your arm and take some of your blood. You heal so it’ll be quick. But this is to save Sue’s life” Collin nodded.

“Take mine” I placed the blade on the flesh of his arm and cut. The red liquid dripped out and entranced me slightly. I shook my head and moved his arm so the blood dripped into the cut. It had already healed under the blood so I had to repeat the process in case Demetri demanded more. When I finished I went over to Sue.

“I have to take a tiny bit of yours to mix in, so that it tastes like it’s from a woman” I cut a tiny bit and heard Felix groan as the scent of blood wafted around the room. I put a small amount in, sipped it and gagged. It really was disgusting. I ripped a piece off my dress and bandaged her arm. Then I headed back to Demetri’s room. He sipped from the glass and gagged as I had.

“You were right. This is disgusting! I’m not drinking from that woman, looks like I get to do my alternative”

“What’s that? Do you want me to go out and get someone?”

“No. the person I want is already in the building” I didn’t like the look in his eyes.

“Okay, I’ll go get them. Who are they?”

“You”
