Summary:
The Cullen's are gone. Cadyna is alone again but imprisoned. The fate of the vampire, human and werewolf world rests on her shoulders. Only one will survive, they will be the unlucky one. The fourth story in the cross-breed series. Sequel to Cross-Breed, Hunting For Love and Alone (in the order)

Notes:
I know, i'm so evil. I left everyone on a total cliffie at the end of the last story. But, i think i'm entitled considering that only two people reviewed. they reviewed more then once but still, two people! That really is pathetic! I need more reviews to fuel my creativity. If i don't on this story i will stop on a cliffie and not update any more.

The Cullen’s were alive? What? How?

Hey? Who’s there? I don’t recognize your thoughts.

What? Could they hear me? I tried again, concentrating on the two wolves sending me their thoughts.

Hello. Can you hear me? I asked.Yes, I can hear you. Quil, can you hear that? Seth asked. His mind was gentle and it actually helped numb my headache.

Loud and clear! Called the slightly louder, boyish mind.

Okay, good. Looks like I’ve worked out how to do this. I’m Cadyna. I told them.

Alice’s daughter? The wolf-vampire? Where are you? How can you do this? Demanded Quil.

I don’t know how I’m doing this. I found out last week that I could hear but it’s only today that I can reply. I replied.

So where are you? He asked again.

I’m in Volterra. Caius has made me a slave. Demetri is drinking my blood and I got so weak he finally let me go hunting. I wasn’t allowed, I was only allowed to feed off one of the prisoners but I refused. I said.

Prisoners! My mum! Seth was sweet. He was only concerned about others.

Yes, she’s alive. So’s Billy. We’ve also got five wolves here. I told him.

Which ones? Quil asked.

Collin, Brady and three whose names I don’t know.

What do they look like? Quil asked. He was way too inquisitive for my liking.

Um, one’s got fair hair, quite skinny. Doesn’t really look like a Quileute boy. I said, thinking back to when I had last visited the dungeon. I hadn’t been in recently because I was too dangerous.

Lewis! Yelled Seth’s mind.

One’s big. He’s got long black hair. I recalled.

Ryan. Does he have a brother with him? Who’s got reddish hair? I thought back.

Yes there was.

That’s Nathan. Just Leah, Jacob, Callum, Tom and Harry left missing.

Jacob. He was in the house with the Cullen’s. There’s a good chance he didn’t survive. I thought. That brought me back. Hadn’t Quil said the Cullen’s were alive?

Yeah. I left Forks to search for the rest of us. I went north-west. And I smelt them. The trail was fresh. I think they’ve gone to Alaska.

Then that’s where I’m going. I’ve got to find them!

But, if the people catch you…Seth was concerned for my safety now! I was more worried about the Cullen’s.

It can’t get any worse then this. I’ve already taken risks, what’s one more? I risked sneaking blood down to Felix. I risked taking blood from Collin to stop Demetri draining Sue. I’ve risked phasing inside Volterra. If any of risks are worth taking, it’s this one. I have to find them Seth, just to know. I need the peace of mind. At least if they’re dead, I won’t waste anymore hope. I need to know!

How are you going to get there? Now Quil’s ‘voice’ was tinged with concern.

I’ll find a way. And when I’ve found the Cullen’s, we’ll put the packs back together and we’ll work out a plan to stop this once and for all!
