Only one will survive

Summary:
The Cullen's are gone. Cadyna is alone again but imprisoned. The fate of the vampire, human and werewolf world rests on her shoulders. Only one will survive, they will be the unlucky one. The fourth story in the cross-breed series. Sequel to Cross-Breed, Hunting For Love and Alone (in the order)

Notes:
I know, i'm so evil. I left everyone on a total cliffie at the end of the last story. But, i think i'm entitled considering that only two people reviewed. they reviewed more then once but still, two people! That really is pathetic! I need more reviews to fuel my creativity. If i don't on this story i will stop on a cliffie and not update any more.

I opened my eyes. What was that? Asked Embry.

A vision of the past. I get them, and I get ones of the future. I told him.

It was horrible. They came out of nowhere.

Seth said that Leah wasn’t accounted for.

He wants her to be alive. Sam’s in La Push and he hasn’t seen her. Seth takes the woods. Jared and Kim headed off to the Makah rez, to keep an eye on things up there.

Okay, I have to focus. I really need to find the Cullen’s. And I need to hunt.

All right. I’ll be here if you need me. I had never actually met Embry. When I had been with the Cullen’s he had been busy. He seemed nice. I crossed a sharp scent. Ow, my head really hurt. I forced myself to sniff the scent again. It was mad up of lots of different layers of different scents. There were animals, of course. They were easy to identify. There was a hint of werewolf scent from when Quil and Embry had first found the scent and some vampire’s I hadn’t met before. I assumed they were the Denali coven I had heard about. Smelt like three females and two males. I sniffed deeper and there it was! Nessie had been here quite recently. I could smell Rosalie and Jasper. Oh great, I was glad that at least three of them had survived but why did it have to be Jasper? Normally I wouldn’t pick between people but I wish Alice, or Esme. Carlisle, too. Maybe they were all alive and I just wasn’t smelling hard enough. I sniffed again and sneezed.

You’re right. I can smell your scent around here and some unfamiliar vampires. But I can also smell Nessie, Rosalie and Jasper.

Umm…which ones are they?

Rosalie’s the blond girl and Jaspers the brother who’s also blond and is covered in scars. I think he taught you some fighting skills a while ago?

Oh yeah, him. I knew Nessie was there (she had a really unique scent) but we couldn’t really identify the others. They all stink! I laughed a wolfy laugh and I felt Embry laughing in my head as well. I followed the scent trail, whining softly as it burned my nostrils. My head hurt from my lack of blood, combined with the scent. Vampire scent never normally bothered me, why now? Oh well. I pushed on. I followed the trail for ages until the strain became too much. My legs gave way beneath me. I tumbled head over heels until my head connected with the ruff bark of a tree. I lay in the snow that surrounded the tree. My head hurt so much. I was in so much pain. Maybe this time I would actually die. I was dimly aware of the snow falling on my, soaking my fur and the small bundle of clothing strapped to my leg. Visions started to come into my head randomly. Even they hurt. Some were new, some I recognized. They came faster and faster until they were just a random stream of color with no meaning. Then the colors merged into blackness. The blackness covered me, overwhelmed me and I lost consciousness.
