After that, I was treated differently (which is what I expected). Aro's plan for world domination was taking shape. I was forced to wear gloves except when sleeping. I didn't want anyone else to dissolve. I stayed away from Josef, not bothering to fight anymore.

"Kat! Come on! You have to fight!" said Josef when he saw me sitting alone, practically in a trance.

"What's the point?"

"Listen to me! When Aro takes over, all humans will be confined to a jail. They won't have lives run by fear. They won't have lives at all! They will just be food!"

"Everyone?" I asked.

"YES! You have to stop Aro"

"But...if I stop Aro...there is bound to be vampires who will disobey any rules I set...unless...I stay in power?"
He nodded grimly.

"Never leave here?"

"I know it's hard but you need to do the right thing. For your sister" I'd almost forgotten about my sister. Josef was right. I had to stop Aro. That would be easy enough. Dissolve him, problem solved. I knew I'd never be able to give the world back to the humans while vampires were there, vamps were too much of a fear in their minds but I would stop two things. The killing of children and no more killing wantonly, only when thirsty.

"There is a third option," said Josef quietly "Destroy all the vampires"

"They are not going to stand there while I dissolve them one by one, Josef"

"I know but I'm sure you can make your power spread" I had an idea. Get them to hold hands and maybe it would spread along them. First, to get rid of Aro.

"I need to see Aro. I need to trick him into touching my hand" I knew how.

I hurtled to Aro's chamber. I was in luck; he was there.

"Aro!" I said, excitedly.

"Yes?" he asked.

"I've found out that my right hand and left hand do different things! My left hand can make a vampire stronger!"

"Would you like a demonstration?" I pulled my left glove off. He hesitated. Would he be fooled? My excitement was real; my left hand really did something different.

"Ok" he took my hand and started to shake as power ran through him. Too much power. He exploded.

"Yeah! It worked!" I said. Then, just in case he could reassemble himself, I dissolved all the pieces. The next bit was easy. I killed all the vampire elders and their guards. I was on my way to do step three when I bumped into Bella. As much as Edward annoyed me, he was basically a good person looking out for his mate and he didn't deserve to die.

"Bella. I need you to do something"

"Get your family out of here. Go to the forests; take Mick and Beth with you. Then, block up your ears. You guys can associate with humans and you don't kill...so do this"

"What are you doing?"

"Exterminating vampires. They can't live with humans now; they're too used to killing. Your family and my species of vampires can. Just do it! And remember to block your ears. Tight!"

"The signal?" I nodded. She nodded back and left. The signal was a high-pitched noise that only vampires could hear. And when they heard it, they had no choice but to go it. And it could be heard all over the world. The death call.
