I went downstairs and to the library.

“Hello” someone said. I turned, spotting the dark haired girl I had seen when I was first brought here. She was with the blond, Jasper.

“Hi” I said. I still didn’t like interacting with vampires.

“I’m Alice. I think you’ve met Jasper?” I nodded.

“Beth said you were bored. I came to see what I could do to help you”

“Oh. I was going to read a book” I noticed that they exchanged a glance.

“Is that allowed?” I said, with a hint of sarcasm.

“No! You have to come with me and let me make you over! That, facility look is so annoying! You could be really beautiful with the right look. And you’re just a human! Imagine what you’ll be like as a…” Jasper nudged her and she shut up.

“Well. C’mon. You’re coming with me to my room” I stifled a groan as she led me off.

After Alice had finished I headed back to my room. I lay on my bed and fell asleep.

Josef’s point of view

I paced up and down my room. I got fed up of that and went into my freezer. I lay there and tried to sleep. But my mind was a mess. I had a dream, one I hadn’t had in six years.

I was standing in the cool winter night. There were several of us.

“Check that house over there!” Aro ordered some of the others.

“Nothing there sir!” called back another voice. Aro nodded and pointed at the little cottage. We moved forward as one. I ripped off the door and entered the house. The others smashed into other rooms.

“Shhh” whispered Aro. They stood still and silent. I raised my head and inhaled.

“You smell them?” Aro asked.

“Yes. In the cellar” I said. He approached the door first, opening it slowly.

“Come out. We won’t hurt you,” he said.

“No Lizzie” whispered a voice from below. A small child emerged and walked up the stairs.

“Hello child” said Aro

“Hello” she said, her voice tinged with fear and hope.

“What’s your name?”

“Lizzie Brooks” he took her hand and led her out the room. He handed her to one of the group who led her outside. Then the screaming began. The scent of blood in the air.

“No!” yelled a voice. Aro darted down the stairs and instantly had hold of her, pinning her against the wall by her throat.

“You’ll pay for what you did,” he said, before sinking her teeth in her throat. She struggled but soon was still. Aro dropped her body to the ground and walked back up the stairs, wiping his mouth.

“Burn down the buildings. No survivors” he told me. I nodded. He took the group with him except for three people.

“Burn down the other buildings. Don’t let anyone out. I’ll do this one,” I instructed. I walked down into the cellar. That was when I smelt it. I looked over to a corner. There was a small girl lying there. She looked about ten years old. Her scent was delicious. I knew I must kill her but I didn’t want to. I walked past, kicking a box out the way to reveal a small pipe. I turned away and watched from the corner of my eye. She moved, pushing another smaller girl through the pipe first before following. I waited until all traces of their scent was gone before I left. Then I burnt the house down.
