Hell Doesn’t Cover Half of It

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

“Damnit do you know what this means?” I asked Chief. “The bitches trio will come back! I don’t to deal with them again.” I was close to having a full on freak out, guess chief was right. It’s better that none of the others could here me. Edward wouldn’t understand lion until he morphed for the first time, and Jake, Alice, and Jas are all different species.

“Stop. They may come back but they will not be welcome in the pack. I know you four have your history…”

“They tried to kill me!”

“Yes well as I was saying they’ve disgraced the pack by challenging you and Nefia so they won’t be welcomed back, now take him up.” Chief said then walked back into the forest.

“Okay what happened?” Jake asked as I morphed back. I didn’t answer him I just stared at Edward.

“What?” he asked after a minute.

“Your causing me a shit load of trouble.” I said still staring.

“Sorry?” he said obviously unsure of what he’d done.

“Don’t be,” I said sighing heavily. No matter how much I wanted to I couldn’t blame him, “It’s not something you can control.”

"You going to take him to Carlisle?” Alice asked. She always had a sense of what was going to happen before it was going to happen.

“I have to,” I said. Then to Edward, “Come on, we have to go if we want to make it by dark.” Then I started to walk away towards the mountain.

“Huh? Okay I’m coming,” Edward said jumping off the rock, and running after me. “Where exactly are we going?” He asked me as I started to see the first few rocks that made up the mountain. We couldn’t see the lake anymore. The trees were too thick, we’d only been walking for two minutes.

“To Carlisle‘s,” I said. Starting to climb the first rock.

“Not more climbing!” He exclaimed, as I made my way to the top of the bolder.

“Yep.”

“Who’s Carlisle anyways?” He asked after another few minutes. He was about five boulders below me, and I was waiting for him, just like the trees.

“He’s like all the morph’s father, he was the last of the last generation of morphs, same as Esme his wife. He teaches the new generation of morphs. Everyone you saw at the lake and more.”

“There’s more of you!” he exclaimed. He’d probably just gotten used to the fact that some humans could change into animals.

“Uh yeah there’s Jake, Seth, Sam, Jared, Quil, Embry, Paul, Rachel, Leah, Emily, and Kim, with the wolves. Emmett, Rosalie, Angela, Ben and Len, are Bears. Um, Tanya, Jessica, and Lauren, are Lions, as well as me. Jasper and Alice are Snakes. Brandy’s an Elephant. Carlisle and Esme, well you’ll see.” I said as I climbed up to the next rock.

“That many huh? Is everyone on the Island a morph. That lion you talked with earlier is he a shape-shifter?” He asked. I was about ten feet higher then him now.

“Nah that’s chief. He’s a natural lion. Just how many questions do you have?” I asked indignantly. I’ve never had to sit threw a newbie’s questions.

“A lot.” He admitted.

“Well, in a few minutes, we won’t be talking.” I said looking up to where the black clouds where they circled around the middle if the mountain, “That’s the thing about this mountain, the middle is always in a storm, the top’s pretty sunny though.”

He got to the boulder I was at, and looked up too. “Damn, those clouds are dark.” he said, “We have to go through that?”

“Yeah it’s like walking into a frozen over hell.”
