A Respected Life

I looked at Edward. He had a shocked look on his face. Carlisle looked extremely confused. He obliviously didn't know what Edward had said to Bella. So they weren't any part of it. Wow, now that's news to me. Maybe Bella can stay friends with the Cullens excluding Edward.

He moved to me in a flash and I slowly looked up at him. I knew he would do that but I expected the look in his eyes to be annoyed or joy that Bella would never be with him again-which I don't know why he would leave her- but instead when I looked at his animal blood stained eyes and saw pain and sadness. Why?

"No, they didn't know what I said to Bella. I told them it would be safer for Bella if I left. They weren't in on any of it except for leaving. They all wanted to say goodbye and Alice wanted to visit so many times but I wouldn't let them go. They had to obey me. She was mine so they couldn't go near her. I told Alice not to search in the future for her but she got a vision that she was with you so I told him and he called you guys right away. Please don't blame the others. Blame me and only me." He paused as if he were trying to find the write words. Then he looked at me again.

"I thought she would be safer. I told her I never loved her but I still did. I just didn't want her getting hurt but I guess instead I ruined her heart soul, and life." He then looked at Bella and he whispered in her ear "I'm sincerely sorry Bella. Will you ever find it in your heart to forgive me?" He was still looking at her and his sorrow fell to confusion. He turned back to me.

"Why isn't she screaming? How long has she been transforming for? She looks like she's in pain, but she's already prettier then Rosalie. I thought you just bit her last night?"

"She is in pain and she is transforming faster then all other vampires on the face of the earth. Eleazer was called to come and determine if she had a power or not. She was mostly blocking him out but he could see she could have multiple powers. And of course she is prettier then your sister Rosalie. I knew she would be." He looked extremely sad and I felt a twitch of sorrow. He must have been in pain. He looked like he was very depressed. I was still looking at him and he nodded. I gave Bella a kiss on the forehead and he growled.

"Edward, she has Demetri now and she will be the strongest vampire. No need to fret." Carlisle was so calm it sometimes worried me that he had no emotion but you could see the pain on his face. He really did see Bella as a daughter. I was amazed by his compassion.

"Carlisle! Old friend, how have you been? And this must be your wonderful son Edward. It's a pleasure to meet you." I hadn't noticed but during Bella's transformation Aro had left and hadn't been there when Carlisle and Edward had arrived.

"So Demetri, how is my Bella doing?" He had grown attached to Bella for her powers, beauty and strength. I could tell she would be his favourite.

"She's doing just great. She's growing prettier by the minute and stronger by the second. Eleazer was right. She is and is still becoming the strongest vampire in this world!"

Aro smiled at that. He loved beauty, power and strength. He was proud to have gotten Bella. She would be the greatest. Suddenly Bella's heart rate changed. It quickened into a hum like a humming bird's wings except faster. Way faster. That was a sign. When Aro was changed he was born the leader because of how his heart worked. It hummed slower than that and determined he was the strongest vampire. But he would be kicked out of his position if Bella wanted it but there was the possibility Ciaus or Marcus would be kicked out of their position but Bella wasn't like that, she would stay with me. Suddenly, all synchronized, Aro gasped, Carlisle and Edward both said "Oh, My, Gosh," and the door burst open with Ciaus and Marcus and ALL of the guard in the room. Ciaus and Marcus were the first to talk-or should I say yell!

"No way! I am not losing my position to a NEWBORN GIRL! They both feared for their positions. Felix and Jane were very excited. They had grown attached to Bella and had loved her. They had been visiting her all the time and enjoyed her company. They also knew she would be powerful. At that moment Bella shot up. She was even prettier now. High cheekbones, very defined features, shiny light/dark brown hair with blonde at the front. Her lips looked as thought she had just fed. But her eyes were also brighter and darker, crimson red than any other vampire! They were also slightly rainbow coloured. Why?

Bella stared at everyone in the room. She was slightly shocked.

Bella's POV

I could HEAR my heart beat and then I knew I was become a vampire. Then suddenly I felt no pain at all. My skin was harder and colder, and I could feel the speed and strength as I shot up from my sleeping position. Everything was so defined. I could hear the murmurs and whispers around the room but no one was whispering. I could feel many emotions around- shock, excitement, relief, confusion. I felt as if I were floating. Now I was very confused. And why were Ciaus and Marcus angry?

I turned to them, "Why are you angry?" I knew it was me. They were thinking it. Wait...They were THINKING it. Now I was totally confused.

"We are ANGRY because..." Ciaus was cut off my Aro sending him blades through his eyes.

"Bella, they are more frustrated than anything. You see...your heart rate has gone extremely fast, you have more than one extraordinary power-that we don't know about yet- and you are gorgeous. All of those lead to you becoming the leader of the Volturi." Aro was explaining it well but why would Ciaus and Marcus be angry? It still did not make sense. So what I were one of the leaders. It wouldn't change anything. Or would it?
