A Respected Life

Carlisle's POV (on the way to Bella's room)

"Carlisle, you look worried, what is wrong? Nothing bad will happen to her." Eleazer said in a soothing manner but he was worried for Carlisle' sake that he would lose Edward forever again.

"Nothing's wrong, I'm worried about what you said about Bella. What if something bad happens? I don't want her to get hurt. It's bad enough she has a broken heart. You can tell she is in a lot of pain. I wish I could do something." I was scared Bella would never find love again. Yes, she had Demetri, but I don't believe that is true love. Thanks to the new Volturi member, Sarah, whose power is to make people fall in love, Bella is in love with Demetri.

"Carlisle, you know if Sarah would stop using her power on Bella then she would most likely be with Edward and your family right now. You can tell Bella's struggling to be with Demetri. The only reason they're doing this is so that Bella won't run off with Edward. They need her and they know that. Since she was transforming they knew that if any other coven had her they would be the new strongest vampire coven ever. Now don't worry, I think I have an idea on how to get Sarah to stop her powers on Bella. Or, if my theories are right about Bella's powers, to be able to stop Sarah from affecting her.

"Thank you Eleazer,"

Carlisle's POV (Now-at the door)

"Oh my, Bella, we need to speak with you this instant." Eleazer used so much force in his voice I had never heard before that I was worried, what was wrong?

"Um, okay, but am I in trouble or something?" She was so unsure of herself. But most of all, her eyes were changing colors, blue to green, then bright pink, brown, black, silver, orange, white and then finally purple to red. LAVA RED! It looked like her eyes were angered for a second then they went to a gorgeous sapphire color. They were gorgeous and unique. They suited her as well. Then, in my head, I heard "Thank you Carlisle," in Bella's voice. I looked at her and she smiled. I was about to ask how when she said, "I heard your thoughts, Carlisle. I don't know how, I just did."

I nodded but I was still confused. How could she send me thoughts? Then I heard her say "That, I'm still curious about." I just nodded thinking to myself about how this could happen and about Eleazer's theories. I wanted so badly to know what they were that I was like a three year old on Christmas morning, waiting for my family to wake up but they just wouldn't.

"Eleazer, how about we go to the meeting room. Aro, Ciaus and Marcus are sure to want to know these theories of Bella's."

"You sure are right there, Carlisle. Aro, Ciaus and Marcus were actually jumping up and down at the door when I came in. I was lucky to be able to go see you first. They were so eager to hear the theories. Well, we better get going if you guys want to hear everything. They must be getting impatient." Bella nodded and came out of the room. She was wearing a blood-red dress that had small spaghetti straps, a corset that wasn't noticeable but gave the dress grace and made it look older, a plunging neckline that went to the top of her ribs. The way it was made, made her look elegant and kind instead of sluttish and showy. The bottom was loose and had lace at the ends.

Obliviously, Aro had time to do shopping for Bella or it could have more than likely have been Heidi or Chelsea. They both loved to shop and as usual the Volturi leaders never left the castle. So they were the number ones and had always gotten everything perfect.

We headed down the hallway to the meeting room in silence. I could tell Bella was nervous as was I because her powers were the strongest.

We got to the room in one minute because of the detour of food. Bella was forced-forced is the key word- to try human blood, she tried to refuse but they made her. She sucked the human dry and told them that she hated to do it and she was going to stick to my diet. I was very proud. She was a new born and she wouldn't drink human blood. That showed a lot of dedication. I am now very determined to get rid of the spell Sarah cast on Bella. I could see it in Bella's eyes that she wanted Edward. I would need to talk with him later about the spell she was under. No one had found out about the spell except for Aro and Ciaus- not Marcus or else he would have freaked because he only believes in true love and not forced love- until five minutes ago. Edward wouldn't know yet unless he found out about Sarah because he left the room when we were discussing it. Aro's booming voice interrupted my thoughts and I looked up.

"Well, have you figured out her talent? I am eager to know such a powerful vampire's powers are." I heard Ciaus gag in disgust. He still wasn't over the fact a girl was stronger than him.
