A Change in Heart

Summary:
This is the fight scene in Breaking Dawn. With a little switch. The Volturi have a STRONG human on their team. She is stronger than all the vampires put together. Do Edward, Bella, Renesmee and the rest of the witnesses and family members have chance? What will be the human's future? What will the Cullens be? Death? Loss? Here's a sneek peak...There they were. The Volturi. The beautiful rulers of the vampire world. Coming to take my baby girl, Renesmee, from me. Why? She did not do anything. She was not any trouble. She controlled herself better. If they took my baby girl from me then I might just lose it right on the spot. I was taken out of my thoughts when all of them were not far from us. "Aro, my old friend, it's been centuries." Carlisle said to Aro.Aro held up his hand, "Peace." He said to his followers. "Fair words, Carlisle. They seem out of place, considering you have assembled and army to destroy me and my loved ones.""These are witnesses Aro, I do not wish for you to be harmed." I heard a few people growl under their breath. Then I heard something disturbing, Edward gasped, then I smelt a human. A sweet, honey and vanilla scent swept over to me. Who brought a human? Just a heads up... I am planning to change my user name to mysterious_kitten

Klarissa's POV (The past)

I was so content in Italy. I loved visiting my family. My whole family is Italian but my mom and dad moved to the USA when they met so I was born five years later. I spoke both English and Italian including some Portuguese and French. I enjoyed being multilingual. I was very smart and passed all my tests with flying colours.

I headed towards the large fountain in Volterra. It was a day after St. Marcus day and I had fun yesterday. According to the old time St. Marcus was a great man that changed the lives of people. He was a hero. So we honoured him every April 19th. I was reading my favourite book, A Midsummer's Night Dream by Shakespeare. I enjoyed it. I had read it about five times a month. That's when I heard footsteps coming from a dark opening of Volterra. I looked up to see about ten pairs of red eyes staring at me. I started to read their mind.

Hmm, I wonder why her eyes are changing colour. I'm curious. That was a thought of one. Actually, all of them had the same thoughts. My eyes changed colour every time I used one of my powers. My parents had found out about this when I was three years old. I was always curious.

I was taken out of my train of thought when I felt a cold hand take my shoulder, then I jumped up. I was instantly at the other end of Volterra. They looked at me with surprised eyes. One papery, white skinned man stepped out of the shadows.

"I see we have one extremely unique individual here. It's my pleasure to meet you my dear. My name is Marcus. Well, everyone here celebrated my day yesterday so I am positive you have heard of me since you were there." The man, Marcus, said to me.

"That's impossible, that man died over thousands of years ago. You can't possibly tell me you're still alive. What are you? A vampire possibly?" They all looked shocked now.

"I beg your pardon?" He looked at me sceptically.

"Well, stories say there are groups of vampires everywhere in this world, I have proven the theory myself but I haven't told anyone. I would most likely sound crazy." He only nodded.

"Would you mind coming with us? We are no danger of course but I would like you to meet more of us. You have potential." He put his hand out and I looked at him. Unsure of what to do. I was a thirteen year old communicating with a vampire? Was that right? Well, I took his hand anyways. He seemed trusting and honestly, he seemed like the most caring man ever. He took me through the deep halls of stone. It was cold but it was nothing I couldn't handle.

"Aro, Ciaus, I have found the girl you wished to speak to." A young girl said. Two men came out and gave the girl a kiss on both cheeks.

"Thank you, Jane. We appreciate your services." Jane smiled, she looked kind of evil. Like she was hiding something.

"Hello, my dear. I have seen you around. You look like a strong girl. What would your name happen to be?" I looked at these other men. They all had papery, white skin like the other. The man, Aro that was talking to me had black hair. Unlike all the other vampires I have seen they all had strong, ivory looking skin. Why were theirs different? Age might possibly be the reason.

"I'm Klarissa." I said. He smiled deeply.

"Ah, my favourite name. Do you happen to know what it means?" I only shook my head. He continued, "Klarissa means clear and bright. It is rather an interesting name. A true Italian name as well. I t is a pleasure meeting you. Now, I've heard you can move faster than vampires. Is this true?" Aro asked.

"Yes, but that's not only it." He looked questioningly at me now.

"You have powers? Strange, I thought only vampires had them. What would they happen to be?" Aro asked, his voice was now truly excited.

I looked at him and smiled my flashy white smile and then spoke. "Well, I can read minds, control minds, levitate things, feel and control emotions, see the future, heal humans and vampires, I can bring life back to anything if they are killed, I can shields forces to stop attacks, I can control elements, as well as I can get people electrocuted with my eyes, and cause terrible pain with my eyes." I heard every one in the room gasp. They all stared at me.

"But that doesn't explain why your eyes changed colour when we approached you!" A boy that looked like Jane said.

I nodded, "Well when I levitate things my eyes turn a pink colour and when I cause terrible pain they turn black like onyx. When I read minds my eyes turn yellow, when I see the future my eyes turn violet. When I track people my eyes turn silver. When they are green I am controlling elements, red means I'm shielding, grey is feeling emotions, and blue is the electricity flow." All of them stared at me wide eyed.

"Klarissa, would you like to become one of the Volturi? A vampire?" All the pasty white skin men asked, and I nodded.

"Well, we will change you whenever you want. I would prefer at the end of the week. Is that durable? There is one catch which means you will never see the rest of your family again." I was okay with that. My family didn't really care for me.

That was a few days ago. Before we came to this clearing. The Volturi had figured out all my powers. Marcus had become my best friend. He was like my father. We faked my death by saying I drowned in the fountain. Soon, in one day, I would be bitten and turned. I was warned of the pain. I was okay with it. Now, here we are, in the clearing, surrounded by all the vampires. They looked as if they were fighting the urge to attack. I was told I smelt like vanilla to all my friends. They told me vanilla was one of the only scents that no vampire could control unless they were needed to work for them later.
